A grill is used for 2 people During the last almost six months, we have been using the same container 3 times a week. Every time I have ordered, the flavor is outstanding. Packaging is simple and easy to do.
There is a lack of flavor and a light seasoning. Every seasoning from the treager seasoning pack has been tried. There was nothing memorable about this one.
I saw that the negative reviews complained that it had a light flavor, but it does not sound like it was being used with smoker pellets, which is the whole point of this line. We use mesquite pellets for our chicken thighs and people constantly ask us what the recipe is.
The seasonings came as a gift to my husband for his 30th birthday when he got a Traeger pellet grill. You can eat them on many types of foods and they are quite tasty. We will definitely buy from them.
I sprinkled some of this on it and it was simply delicious.
No matter who I am, I'd use this even if I didn't have a Traeger grill. Salmon and other fish as well as poultry would benefit from the use of this rub. Thus far, I have only used it for salmon, but have been very satisfied with it. While it is a bit pricey, the size of the canister is quite generous. In my analysis, I haven't compared price per ounce with price in dollars. There are other spices that I like better, but this one works for me.
My personal bias is that I use a lot of trager rubs since you don't need a lot to make them and they are easy to make. Don't be afraid to give them a go. I highly recommend this book.
My two spice rub orders didn't come with a seal of quality. There was no way I would have noticed if the rub had spilled in the bag when they were delivered. Each was wrapped in a plastic bag that said "ready to ship", but neither had any In the event that my replacements are also flawed, I will update. It would be easier to buy directly from Traeger if that were the case, but let's wait and see.
