Spike has no expiration date; I've used it for years and kept some in my cabinet for years, and it never gets old.
Hi Mary. There is sodium in a quarter tsp, according to the label, which is 180 mg. I don't use much more than that because the flavor is so good. Spike without sodium has been mentioned by someone else. It's possible that there's a gift for it.
I'm not certain. I mostly use it to give vegetables an extra kick of flavor. I suppose you could give it a shot in a cup of water to see how it goes.
I put down a $20 deposit. It cost $70 and came with free shipping.

This is the best all-around game ever created. seasoning with a specific purpose The combination of herbs, vegetables, and citrus is ideal for enhancing the flavor of a dish in need of a kick or as the main flavor in a soup. It's a regular in my spice cabinet, and I use it alone or in combination with other spices almost every day when I cook. You need this, whether you're a seasoned chef or a novice, and I guarantee you'll enjoy it. br>br>Over the years, there have been times when I've had no trouble finding it, and then there have been times when my grocer has stopped stocking it. I was stumped, but Amazon helped me find it. An aside: I first learned about this when Oprah's Chef Rosie published a cookbook called Oprah's Favorite Recipes, in which she used this spice blend.
"There is no way this is MSG free," I thought after tasting it. It has a form of MSG in it, as I discovered after doing some research. A week later, I attempted to return the six bottles we had purchased, but Amazon refused! What a squandering of a twenty-dollar bill.
Spike is something I've been using for a long time. There's nothing else that compares! Because there are so many different spices in the mix, they add an extra layer of flavor to the dish. People always ask what that delicious taste is that they can't seem to duplicate, so I never make soup or vegetables without Spike. Spike Original, on the other hand, is so good that it'll be used eventually! This is the spice blend you've been looking for if you're looking for a way to liven up your food.
Anyway, the seasoning arrived today, and as soon as I opened the main box, I could smell it. They put the six-pack in a padded shipper with air pillows on one side, but it wasn't enough. Two out of the six bottles have been shattered. Glass and spices can be found in abundance. I was able to get a refund from Amazon for them. I'm not sure what else I could ask for. I'll try again once the refund is processed to see if the next set arrives.

For me, this stuff dates back to a popular natural organic sandwich shop in Palm Beach County, Florida. This is what they serve with their veggie pita sandwiches on the tables, and it's delicious. This six-piece set was purchased for me and a friend to share. It's great for eggs, salads, and a whole lot of other things. Because it contains a small amount of salt (of course), use it in place of salt or pepper and for the delicious fresh herb mix. A flavorful spice that can be used in a variety of dishes. Singular.
It's possible that the packaging was inadequate. I placed an order for a six-bottle package. When I opened the box, a large amount of spice dribbled out, which surprised me. One bottle's bottom had completely broken off, so the jar had been emptied into the box. I use this on a regular basis, so this is a major disappointment. I don't want to return the last five bottles, but it'll be a costly mistake.
pack! I'm not sure why, but over the last 25 years, I've had such a difficult time finding this original Spike seasoning. If I didn't want to pay a fortune at Mother's Market, that is. I was also surprised to learn that it wasn't available at Whole Foods! When I do find it, it's only a minor annoyance. Health food stores should be avoided. It's taken me this long to even consider checking Amazon. br>br>I had this for the first time in 1978 while working at a health food bar in a surf shop in HB, and it was disgusting! Every sandwich, salad, and guacamole order comes with it. Blech. After a few weeks, I started to crave it, and I now use it on a variety of foods, primarily avocado sandwiches and salads, tuna salad, and sandwiches. Like many foods with such a distinct flavor, it is undoubtedly an acquired taste. I'm ecstatic. br>br>.
