It is possible to freeze it. There is no discernible difference in texture when it is It used to be difficult for me to stock up without having to travel out of town. As far as commercial achiote pastes go, this is the best most others are heavily dyed to disguise the fact that they contain a lot of cheap filler ingredients.

I had an awesome time. I think that pic tells the whole story. For braised pork shoulder (cochinta pibil without the banana leaves or the under ground pit), I used a similar recipe. As a result, I thinned the paste down with a little water and then blended it with blood oranges, lime, garlic, and salt. I covered the liquid for 3 hours at a slow simmer, then left it uncovered for the last hour to reduce the amount of water in it.

Blending all this stuff into a smooth marinade was a bit of a pain, however, but having never tried this ingredient before, that's what may have been the case. I am very satisfied with the service.
The conchinita pibil made with this paste always turns out fantastic when I use it to make a version of it.
While this is a very good flavor, it is very hard to mix it without clumps. Although I have tried adding hot water and mixing it, it has not worked. It is unknown if the packages I have are old or not, but I won't purchase this brand again for this reason, and this is why I am rating it three stars. In any case, it's a great tasting soup.
It's a great product. In my attempt to recreate a meal I had in San Antonio, I made it a chicken dish. I was able to complete the task. The story seemed pretty good to me, but I am not sure if anyone else felt the same way. A small block of sweetened condensed milk is pressed and sealed in a plastic bag.
The seasoning is great! Tacos El Pastor made with pork and chicken are made with it. There is only one negative we can see with it -- it is difficult to break apart and disperse In order to combat this, we make our recipes in crockpots with high heat that helps break up the paste. When the paste is cold or even room temperature, it is much more difficult to break up.
Besides the fact that it is not colored, I choose this achiote because it does not contain any! The recipe is easy to follow, and the taste is great. I made the cochinita pibil myself.
This paste is a perfect match.
