Made in Jamaica and shipped worldwide.
It has a kick to it. I'm not sure what I can compare it to in terms of flavor, but be cautious when mixing it with other sodium-containing foods; it has its fair share.
Very long shelf life; the average unopened shelf life is about 4 years, so as long as you keep it refrigerated after opening it, you should be fine.

Returns are not available for this item. The mild sauce container was open, and the seasoning smelled like it was coming out of it. I checked to see if I could return it, but it was not returnable. I'm sick of wasting my money on this kind of nonsense, especially when no one will stand behind the product and how it was received, assuming it was delivered in good condition.
They arrived in a jumbled state, with the seasoning leaking out. These were something I had been dying to try. I'd been looking for a rub like this for my chicken and was delighted to find it in this twin pack. br>br>However, the jars arrived with their lids loose enough that the product leaked all over the inside of the box, and I'm afraid I don't want to eat food that could be contaminated with botulism or other impurities from a leaking jar. br>br>I had no choice but to throw away both jars because they were still unopened. br>br>I sincerely hope this vendor succeeds. They were recommended to me by friends, and the shipment/packaging left me very disappointed. I realize it's a long way to travel, so I'm hoping this manufacturer can figure out a way to make their canning machines attach the lids more thoroughly and tightly. Even having an inner seal (which many other consumer food products, such as a tub of cottage cheese, have) could aid in food safety.
This brand was recommended to me because it was "authentic. " One bottle had a plastic seal, but when the cap was removed, the ingredients did not appear to be safe. The spicy version is very salty and contains a lot of sodium. Yes, it's sweltering out there. a great deal Never before have I come across a condiment with such a high sodium content. The mild version was less salty, but still had a lot of sodium. Both contain a lot of energy. There are no instructions for how to use this product. There is a NO RETURN policy, which is understandable for a food item, and I intend to throw them away. It was a bad decision on my part to buy it in the first place.
I ordered a two-pack of jerk seasoning, which would arrive by the weekend, just in time for me to start meal planning. Unfortunately, one of the jar lids was missing. The other one is fine, but my kids can't eat spicy foods, so that's all I have now. I was ecstatic and thought to myself, "It's no big deal. " I'll just see what I can do about getting it replaced. " WRONG. I can't just go to the store for things like this because I live in a very rural and uncultured area of Missouri. As a result, I'll take the L in this case.
Both the mild and hot versions are quite tasty. But. As others have pointed out, there is no seal (the popping sound you hear when you first open a jar) on them, implying that they have already been opened. You don't want to use the jerk because of this. Furthermore, without that tight seal, the jars leak and arrive in a sloppy state. There's a plastic safety wrap around the top, but it doesn't do much to prevent or assist with anything. Our jars, fortunately, did not break or crack during the shipping process. Jar on jar (glass to glass) with no bubble wrap between them was a poor packaging choice. This stuff will rock if you make a few simple changes.
Real. It's real and amazing. In the mid-1990s, I first encountered Walkerswood in Jamaica. It's widely regarded as the best, and it's available on Amazon under the radar. Try them both if you're new to jerk seasoning. (The mild and the "hot" are both included in this gift pack. ) I usually opt for the hot when I'm on my own. One has a little more bite (personal preference). Suggestion- I add a little olive oil and honey to the marinade or rub when using it as a marinade or rub. Oh my god, this is amazing.
Both types have been used to make jerk chicken wings and ribs. The hot and spicy variety is exactly that, but I enjoy spicy foods! It has a flavor that is very similar to jerk sauces I've purchased in the Caribbean. I'll definitely be ordering more in the coming months as we get closer to grilling season.
I haven't tried it yet, but I noticed right away that the ingredients listed in the photos aren't what's in these jars. There is no allspice in either of my jars, which is a must-have jerk seasoning. They appear to have allspice in the picture; I'll update once I've eaten them, but I'm not happy with thisbr>br>They arrived bubble wrapped with unbroken seals. Hopefully, the problems that others had in the reviews were resolved.
