It was delicious
5/5

It is the very first time I have ever tried an Asian dish such as this and I was hesitant at first because I thought it would be too spicy. The spice does not actually give my meals a spicy flavor, but rather gives my meals a warm, semi-sweet and savory undertone.

There is too much clove in this recipe
3/5

It took a while for the service to respond. It took nearly 2 weeks for this blend to arrive, and there is way too much clove in it. I did not enjoy it. It is entirely up to your taste.

The flavor is fresh, the aroma is great, and the spices are perfectly balanced The words that come to mind are warm, sweet, floral, spicy, and A spice blend does not have a set ratio of ingredients and is composed of a variety There are many different brands out there, and even when you look up recipes for making your own blend, it is still They do share a similar taste profile a little spicy, a little floral and a hint of sweet for the more discerning palate
5/5

They add a depth of flavor to the kitchen. A variety of ingredients often combine to form a singular taste. Many of the same ingredients are used, but variations are present. As such, the following spices are found in the powdered Garam Masala spice blend "- " Cloves ground into a fine powder - The compound cumin*- The two types of cardamom (black and green)* B & n star anise A leaf of the bay - This is coriander*. White and black peppercorns (dark and light)* - My favorite flavoring is cinnamon, but I have also had some that include red chili powder and There are some that include Star Anise, and others that don't. This is an aromatic blend that is strong, flavorful, and has a delicious smell. Originally I was expecting more of a clove flavor, but what I tasted was a pleasing balance of flavors. Cumin stands out more to me than clove for some reason. There's not much else I can say except that if you're making a dish that calls for Garam Masala, this is a fine, budget-conscious substitute. That certain something certainly adds to the flavor of the dish. In general, it is an exciting and delightful spice that I am glad to add to my many often used spices and spice mixes from around the world. Since it is a big container, unless you use this spice mix a lot, you might want to buy a smaller option, or divvy up some into a smaller container. The amount of spices you store will depend on your storage area. The container is about 80% full, but weighing it after emptying the bottle, tarring, then adding back into the container and weighing it again gives 340 grams, which is what I expected. A label at the wide end of the container bears the company name. There are a pair of dual-sided tabs on the lid for measuring and shaking, which twist off to form an open top. This product has a best before date under the ingredient list of 02/2023 (I acquired this May of The way you phrased that, I think it's great!.

The spice is fresh and good, but the seal and label need to be improved
3/5

As well as this, the bag only came with an internal pressure seal, which I find insufficient as they can easily be By the look of the advertisement, the jar looked half full, and if I had not realized that it looked half full, I might have thought I had bought something used with a new pressure seal. This bottle really needs a plastic seal around the top like most of their other products that I have tried. Also, I dislike that the bottle is labeled on the side instead of the front, and only one side, which means it takes up twice the space in my spice cabinet. Spices are one thing I have a lot of, and I like to have them easy to find. Likewise, I like to keep my spice bottles in a place where they will be easily accessible. While the bottle appears okay, the label is in the wrong place! You can tell it's a very authentic blend by the taste. An excessive amount of clove is present. This dish has a lot of spice to it and I'd describe it as a firm medium hot dish. There are two dominant flavors, clove and anise, complemented fairly well by coriander and no salt, and the tail ends with strong peppery notes. My impression is that it is quite fresh and exciting A potent force. There's just something wrong with the seal and label and I think they ought to reconsider them. Although my potent was quite fresh, pressure seals often fail, leading to a stale product. However, because of the poor deal and poor quality, mine didn't come with a seal. I would not buy this again due to the bad label.

It was delicious! I really like this price! It's no secret that I have an insatiable appetite for Indian food, but never attempted to make it myself (I had takenout and used jars of jarred sauces before)
5/5

As I have been trying this product and have decided to make some chicken tikka masala from scratch, so I decided to try it. It is a great value for how much you get for this product and is truly delicious! As soon as I took the spice out of the container, I tasted it to make sure it was the right flavor. There's a lot of heat and pepper in this dish . . . it's really The first thing I did was make a very simple vegetable-based tikka masala. I sautéed an onion, garlic, and ginger together, added tomato paste, the delicious slice blend, a pinch of sugar, and a bit of salt, and let that caramelize. I then topped it with some rotisserie chicken and plain Greek yogurt and it was perfect! One of my favorite Indian restaurants served me tikka masala on par with some of my favorite It takes only a little bit of this spice to cook an entire meal, so for $13, this is a great price. My favorite dish to make with the spice is tikka masala, and I can't wait to try it with other vegetables! If you just served it with veggies, it would be excellent. All in all, this is a fantastic.

Nutmeg can be replaced with star anise
4/5

Garam masala is packaged in a jar of hefty size that holds a lot of it. A strong flavor and fine grind of the spices make the dish taste delicious. Each dish will have 1/2 teaspoon). In comparison to the garam masala I usually purchase at my local supermarket, this is a completely different blend of spices Bay leaves, star anise, white pepper, and white pepper are all used to flavor the mixture there is no nutmeg. My favorite way of preparing this is to mix together garam masala and the Chinese five spice powder, which makes a very interesting mixture. It works well in Tikka masala, but I'm not a fan of spinach curries with this mixture. Mixtures of garam masala vary in flavor across India, so finding the right blend for your style of cooking is a matter of personal taste. As it is, it will take me ages to go through this giant jar before I am done with it. I wish this came in a smaller jar so I can try this to see if it suits. Depending on how much you enjoy this particular mix, that could be a good thing or a bad thing.
