Neither my husband nor I are big fans of cloves. In my case, I just smelled and tasted it to make sure since I hadn't used it in awhile, but cumin and cinnamon seem to stand out most. Despite its spicy taste, I enjoyed this garam masala.

In this recipe, cumin is combined with several spices. As compared to other garam masala seasonings, the cumin flavor is too dominant here and does not give off the distinctive flavor found in many of your favorite Indian dishes. If you add McCormick's chili seasoning to your butter chicken or tikka masala, it will taste like someone dropped a packet.
It is way too salty! I guess you get what you pay for. I found the general taste rather bland and lacking in flavor except for the overpowering salt. It was very boring and It would have been better for me not to buy You should not add salt to anything else you cook with it if you order it anyway! In any case, the overpowering taste of salt is hard to get rid of.
I am not a foodie or a cook, and I only learned how to make curry last year. I have no knowledge of curries, so of course I am clueless about them. I was uncertain what to expect when I purchased this mix. For curries before, my go-to curry spice blend was the members' mark curry spice blend, and I use a lot of In general, I prepare it the same way (with a few variations) every time. At the base, I sautee onions and usually bell peppers in some olive oil with black pepper and curry powder. My method for cooking onion is to cook them in vegetable oil until soft, and then I add either cream of mushroom or cream of chicken, a little water, and some cooked meat (we like leftover Some times, I simply make the curry separately and then use it to make a gravy or sauce to serve with In some cases, if I have spinach on hand, I'll reduce it on top of the sauce also adding water, which makes it difficult not to overwater however, if I do, I'll be sure to thicken it. I'm going to tell you about my old curry, which has a very strong flavor. According to what I read on the web, garam marsala is supposed to be stronger than ordinary curry (whatever it is), but I didn't find that to be the case. reducing the spinach, it seemed a bit bland, so I added more garam masala and then let it simmer on low for a few The curry was very good, but not nearly as strong as the one I have been making. Since I have no idea what these blends are made of, and I don't measure anything, I am explaining everything In any case, this blend seems to suit me better. Because of the way I prepared the curry, I think this blend complements the vegetables better because it lacks the mustardy (sp) aftertaste that turmeric has. Though I probably should have left out the extra black pepper, I found the dish to be milder but very tasty for me. It wasn't as appealing visually as I would have liked but the sauce was still tasty either warm or chilled. When I first made it, I served it over some cold roast pork I had broiled the previous day, but we could easily eat it with just rice. I think next time I'll make it as a slow-cooker dish and see if that results in more flavor. It is important to be able to taste the cumin in the blend BTW, I planned on calling this dish 'strong' only in the sense that it was rich in flavor rather than spicy. It isn't hot if it is supposed to be. There's not much of a difference between the two. I think what I would do is ruin the flavors by adding pepper to this.
Now that it is listed as the second ingredient, In terms of the last ingredient, I thought it wouldn't be too hard to Make sure that you don't eat too much salt with this. In fact, all you are paying for is spiced salt and not garam masala.
Despite my experience cooking Indian, I have never cooked any western dishes When I looked at Asian recipes, there was one element that seemed to repeat throughout them all the ingredient was garam masala is a spicy curry sauce. With this particular bottle, I bought it based on its low cost and size. I figured, since I am new to this type of food, I might as well get as much as possible at the lowest price just in case I had to throw away an item In summary, this is a fantastic product! It mixes well with any sauce/curry due to its fine ground texture. You may want to add more coriander/cumin if your taste is more strong. All in all, well worth your money!.
Although it's fine, I don't like cloves, and the power of the cloves in this mix is too much for me. I bought it. Sorry about that. Let's look at the Sadaf brand again.
but when it comes to the spice blend, it has salt in it. It's just like I expected Garam Masala to be. One of my only complaints is that I wish this spice blend didn't contain salt. I use this spice blend when I cook Indian food Although the flavor is good, I wish there was less salt in it. In addition, the size is good for the price. For example, you could ask Marshalls Creek Spices to make a Garam Masala with no salt. But other than that, it's a good product. MCS Garam Masala is one of the best products I've ever tried. Would I buy I hope so!.
I find this to be such an authentic taste of garam masala. There may be certain differences between companies/families in their specific blend so it may not be the same for Years of eating and cooking Indian food have given me this taste. I was immediately taken aback by the smell of the container when open. The fruits are very fresh, and I plan to make Malai Kofta for dinner this evening. Purchasing this product was fantastic. There are 10 oz. in it. I like the fact it comes in a large bottle, which will last a long time depending on how much I.
