Thanks for reaching out, Cynthia. I'm sorry that I can't answer your question. The garam masala I purchased for my son a long time ago has been used to the fullest by him.
It is not stated on the label if the food contains Gara Masala has been used many times by me there is a problem with MSG that I suffer from as well. As far as I am concerned, I have not encountered any problems.

It was a very good butter chicken that I made in a crockpot using this mixture of 4 Indian spices and combinations after the chicken and veggies were browned in a skillet first. Currently, I am cooking on my own after I recently divorced and am experimenting with a variety of exotic recipes. There were no complaints about this dish. It took only two tablespoons of butter and a cup of low-fat milk to make the whole crock pot For a creamy, tasty sauce, add fat yogurt, which is zesty and savory, and it won't be hot. The recipe was recommended by one of my single girlfriends and she has seven single ladies coming over for dinner next week. The spice I like is real good, but I recently became ill with acute testosterone poisoning, so my judgement may not be clear.
I've tried several other Garam Masala mixes, and this one is my favorite. In addition to using it as my only spice with coconut milk whenever I dehydrate Kale for chips, I also use it in dishes inspired by it. Every time I want the best Indian spice flavor without having to think of all of the spices separately, this is the one I use. Spice mixes like this one do not even come close to coming close to the flavor of Garam Masala. I love it. This is my first choice when I want to enjoy the taste of Indian spice. I like to do crockpot meals the most, so I usually go for this spice.
I know you can make your own, but why not buy garam masala that has already been blended and with just the right amount of spices? Yes, it is somewhat pricey, but I'm sure one can find this in a well-stocked grocery store. Typically, Indian markets carry a wide variety of products, but I decided to take a chance on this. I'm glad I bought it, because it's really nice, and will last me a long time.
My taste in spices and heat is fairly mild, so G M will be perfect for me.
It's so cute to see her so happy! smooth blend, not too spicy. Besides serving it on all types of meats and vegetables, I've also used it for baking. You will be surprised how great things taste when they are cooked when you just sprinkle on a little (not too much)!.

As other reviewers have mentioned, I was unable to find this spice at my local supermarket so I switched to Amazon. The internet saved me a great deal of time and make our lives easier. Two bottles later, and many meals later, I can confirm that this is a great sauce that works well in my tikka masala recipe.
