These are by far the best dried chickpeas I've ever tasted, and I've tried a lot. I use chickpeas in a variety of recipes, but falafels and raw hummus are the only two that call for dried chickpeas. I made both of these with these, and the hummus is noticeably different. They were soaked for two and a half days, and you can tell how fresh they are by looking at them. This is amazing.
I made the decision to purchase a five-bag supply of beans. It will be about a month before the 'best by' date. By then, I don't think we'll have used up the entire bag. I understand that they are dried and will last longer, but I also understand that this has an impact on their quality and cooking time, and I understand that I will not be able to return the item. It's a shame that there isn't a 'best by' date.
I was concerned about the use of RoundUp/Glyphosate, which is why I chose this particular brand, which was one of the few organic semi-premium brands available. On Amazon, I was able to find bulk offers. The beans are perfect for me. My passport was set to expire in 2022.
I was very excited to find this organic garbanzo source, but there was a sudden $10 price hike. The flavor is fantastic. The first two orders I placed were $14 each. 99, which pleased me because I eat a lot of garbanzo beans on a weekly basis. The cost jumped by $10 all of a sudden. 00! That didn't appear to be a typo at first, but it wasn't. Regrettably, I've now discovered other $14 organic garbanzo sources.
In the evening, I put them in a slow cooker with a timer set for 5 a. m. , and by 11 a. m. , they're perfectly cooked and ready for a soup or rice.
These are the most delicious Garbanzo beans I've ever tasted! I've tried a few different brands, but these are the best because they're neat and uniform. They cook up perfectly and maintain their shape. The flavor is subtle but distinct, and as an added bonus, these beans, along with a variety of other products, are grown on a small Christian family farm in the United States. I enjoy being able to support family farming by purchasing their products grown on their own land. I'll be ordering more of these in the future!.
They've all been fantastic, and I'm relieved to have found a dependable organic product grown in the United States.
I discovered this brand on Amazon, and they were uncut and of excellent quality at a reasonable price; I will purchase my oats from Be Still Farms in the future to ensure that I am receiving a high-quality product.
