The tapioca flour that we produce for Relative Foods is packaged at our facility in Spring Lake. There are no gluten, allergen, or vegan products at our facility. Our business is owned and operated by veterans, who also serve as our board members.

The starch/flour of tapioca is of good quality

My use of this flour so far has been limited to a couple things. One, for a flour mixture as a substitute for arrowroot. You may have never dealt with allergies and/or wheat before With free cooking, it is useful to know that the best way to combine flour is to mix them all It is impossible to replace wheat flour with tapioca flour to the same extent. There is a great deal of density to this flour - As you can see below, powdered sugar looks like this. I used this in a mix instead of another dense flour (arrowroot) usually included in the recipe. I was unable to get the cookies to bake as usual after combining the flour and sugar to make the mixture- During baking, the bottoms of the cookies were a bit burned before the tops were baked. However, I still intend to use it in place of arrowroot since the arrowroot I had was out and I am still carrying gluten-free products that I have. You can get free flour for your Hence, I would say that it is good enough to use as an ingredient in a homemade flour mix, but not quite as well as expected. It was not this particular product or brand's fault. Gluten-free products are safe. It's really hard to change one thing about free flours, and it can make a big difference. Also, I used the flour in a recipe to make faux cheese that called for tapioca starch, and I found it to work perfectly. In general, I use something else, like arrowroot, for that recipe. But because this was what the recipe called for, it worked without any problems. By the way, tapioca flour and tapioca starch are generally interchangeable terms. There is no sticking because the flour is not a cheap brand, and the bag features a zip, which I found very convenient. In general, I really like this product and wish you the best when this time comes for allergy baking and cooking. Getting easier takes time, but it is a journey worth taking.

A much better way to describe it is that it is very good at binding a batter to something it is intended to fry.

I have never experienced a finer grind than this. It is ideal for making Brazilian cheese bread and any other cooking you might be doing with tapioca flour. Tapioca flour (starch) was my very first experience with it, and I really like it. As far as the flour itself goes, it's very fine - I almost like powdered sugar, but of course it isn't sweet. It didn't rise until the very end when I used it in a yeast banana bread with eggs. It was extremely soupy, so I added wheat flour and it still didn't rise. Overall, it turned out to be a good bread, although it is eggy, and I'm not sure whether it is caused solely by eggs or if the tapioca triggers it. It's safe to say, there are a lot of other uses for tapioca flour, and I'm not an expert baker, so maybe there's a better recipe for a completely gluten-free alternative. A free loaf of Whatever your reason for stocking up, this ingredient is a useful one to have.
