Despite being half the price of a brand I love, I bought this one because it was half the price of another! This, however, was not worth all the time and effort. I have used up most of the other brand, but this one is not as sweet and usually has an aftertaste that the other brand did not have. The other brand may be more expensive, but I have yet to finish it. My bottle was purchased about 10 months ago, and I am still at about 1/4 of the way through it. Besides drinking coffee and tea, I like to read and watch movies. I forgot to mention, Julian Bakery Pure Monk is the other brand.
When I first saw the tiny bottle I was a little stunned. You must know that I think this is a very sweet song! The coffee I drink in the morning is especially important to me. This stuff is really sweet and I often forget how sweet it can be, so I go overboard with the drops. There is no need to use more than six drops. The product is marketed strictly as a beverage sweetener, and therefore it wouldn't be ideal for baking. To find a sugar substitute, I have tried every product under the sun. Powdered monk fruit & powdered goji berries were inside my sack There wasn't a full dissolve though (except that there wasn't a full I used a lot of sugar because it was lacking a little sweetness. It is impossible to separate the twist-off lid and the clear plastic lid attached to it. The clear plastic lid has tight threads that dig into the twist-off lid, and they dig so deeply into the first lid that it is impossible to In either case, the plastic covering allows it to remain sealed and cannot be twisted away. It's either stuck or packaged too tightly, but you can't see the squirting mechanism when it's tightly molded. Trying and trying with stronger people to get the liquid out resulted in the same results. To get the liquid out, I had to take both lids off, which makes it difficult to pour and too much sweetener ended Additionally, we do not accept returns on this item. It was a bad decision to make this purchase.
Over the past 10 years, I have used monk fruit and am familiar with its quality. The amount of drops that I had to use in my 8 ounce coffee was a bit more than 20. Julian's Bakery brand is usually what I use. I only use 4 drops per application. It's great to go back to that, because you can taste the quality difference.
