Product Description
Questions & Answers
It is a non-GMO product that has been independently verified.
There is no bitterness in it. I'm not sure if this is due to the lack of aluminum. It also retains its freshness when kept in a sealed container in a cool, dark location. It is, without a doubt, the best.
What do you mean by that? Rumford baking powder is vacuum-sealed to keep moisture out of the container, preventing the contents from activating before use. Re-seal the container by replacing the lid as soon as possible after it has been opened.

This product was purchased because I needed baking powder that was free of aluminum. It is mentioned in the image and description, but not on the container I received, and there is no return policy. I suppose this is how they get away with showing one thing on the screen while shipping out the other.
I mix a tablespoon of this with 1/2 tablespoon salt in a couple dozen chicken wings and bake them on a rack over a cookie sheet at 250 degrees for 30 minutes, then raise the temperature to 425 degrees for about 50 minutes or until crispy. To make an alternative buffalo sauce, combine 1/4 cup olive oil with 1/4 cup hot sauce, half a lemon, and chopped garlic in a mixing bowl. Thank you very much!.
Have you ever had a metallic taste in your mouth after eating certain flour-based foods? It's the aluminum in regular baking powder that causes this. ALUMINUM IS NOT USED IN RUMFORD! It also gives baked goods a better lift. Anything else would be a waste of time for me. My pancakes are the fluffiest and cook up to a high rise. You're not going to be let down. I've been baking for more than 60 years, and this is an indispensable part of my kitchen.
Unless otherwise stated, this item contains the standard amount of aluminum. If you want aluminum-free, order a different brand because none of the Rumford options say ALUMINUM FREE on the cans. Because I was unable to return it, I simply discarded it.
I was overjoyed to discover this hard-to-find item on Amazon. I set out on a mission a few years ago to learn how to make homemade biscuits. The author of the recipe book I was using suggested that I use an aluminum-free baking powder. Well, the idea of baking powder containing that ingredient never occurred to me, but there it was in the ingredients list. I made my first batch of biscuits, which seemed to turn out okay, but later in the grocery store, I discovered Rumford baking powder. Wow, and wow, and wow, and wow, and wow, and wow, and It made such a difference in the taste of my homemade biscuits. Since that grocery store chain left my town, I've been on the lookout for Rumford. Finally, I decided to look on Amazon, where it was available for purchase. I'm not sure why I waited this long.
The ad claims that this product is aluminum-free, but it is not. It's going back to you.
The fact that the baking powder is aluminum-free appealed to me. Because the recipe called for it, I used it for keto baked goods. I thought the price was reasonable as well.
I was stranded at home and had to order it for almost twice the price; aside from that, is there such a thing as poor baking powder? I can only give it one star because of the packaging and one star because of the price. I came together in the middle and gathered everyone.
