Questions & Answers

Is this baking powder made with ORGANIC corn starch? (If not, it's almost certainly GMO)?

If it isn't NON-NON-NON-NON-NON- I wouldn't trust it to be NON-GMO unless it was verified by the GMO project. GMO. br>br>I inquired about the use of Roundup/Glyphosate on the products sold by BOBS RED MILL, and BOBS RED MILL maintains a DO NOT ASK, DO NOT TELL policy. br>br>BOBS RED MILL refuses to ask their suppliers if they use Roundup/Glyphosate on their products, so BOBS RED MILL is exempt from acknowledging that their non-use of Roundup/Glyphosate on their products is illegal. Roundup/Glyphosate contamination has been found in organic products. br>If it's a BOBS RED MILL product that isn't NON-GMO, it's a BOBS RED MILL product. It is not safe because it is not verified by the GMO project and is not USDA ORGANIC certified.

Is it possible to use this at a 1:0 ratio? In any recipe, can I use 1 ratio of baking powder instead of regular baking powder?

yes. Simply follow the recipe's instructions. Baking powder that acts as a catalyst is said to be more reliable than single-action baking powder. acting for the purpose of baking at home However, if a recipe calls for double the amount of something, Use the same amount of baking powder whether it's double-acting or single-acting (and, as a side note, if you're doubling a baking recipe, don't double baking powder unless the recipe specifically says it can be, or you'll end up with bitter dough). br>I've read that if you let the dough sit for a while before baking (I'm not sure how long), there may be a difference between baking powders with aluminum and those without, but I haven't noticed one. claims that using aluminum-free baking powder causes the dough to rise less in the oven).

Is it made up of corn or corn starch?

On the main page, in the middle of that paragraph of text, it says the ingredients: Sodium phosphate, bicarbonate of soda, cornstarch, and calcium phosphate are all ingredients in baking powder. There is no aluminum in it.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay for fluffy pancakes This isn't the baking powder your mother used! This is my second purchase, and you will have fluffier baked goods and pancakes than you can imagine! You might want to start with a little more liquid when mixing your pancake batter
5/5

Also, once your batter is thoroughly combined, resist the urge to stir it again. Oh. I swear, our pancakes come out about an inch thick and taste fantastic, and we use a larger bowl than we used to because this batter poofs up a lot. I'm not supposed to eat pancakes anymore, but I can't help myself. It also works well in biscuits. br>br>.

which is difficult at best, but this baking powder has proven to be a success
5/5

I bought Bob's Red Mill Baking Powder because it's gluten-free, doesn't contain aluminum, and has a double action. I bake gluten-free, which is difficult at best, but this baking powder has proven to be the best I've found. It gives my baked goods a great rise and keeps them tasting fresh, with no sour aftertaste. When using aluminum-based baking powders, you'll notice a distinct taste. For any baking needs, I recommend Bob's Red Mill Baking Powder.

Excellent non-profit organization
5/5

Sodium Aluminum Sulfate (SAS) powders are a toxic alternative. When I discovered how much aluminum is in regular baking powder from the store, I was astounded. I threw it away and replaced it with this. It works just as well, if not better, than the harmful Aluminum Sulfate-based powders found in supermarkets. I use it in banana bread and I can't tell the difference between it and regular banana bread. I'm not sure why they continue to produce such hazardous materials.

Very let down
3/5

A damaged bag was received and placed in a clear bag to catch the spilled contents. I got the message that it was non-refundable when I filled out the information for replacement. it is possible to return it Obviously, the contents have been tampered with and are no longer usable. Who in their right mind sends open food?.

This baking powder is one of my favorite ingredients
5/5

I purchased it after reading baking powder reviews on America's Test Kitchen. Because of the packaging, it came in two pieces, but I put mine in a can I had on hand and it didn't bother me. The cornstarch is made from non-GMO corn. Unlike the one-pick Argo, which is made from GMO corn, the Argo is made from non-GMO corn. This baking powder is one of my favorite ingredients. Things rise to such a great height and taste delicious. It is something I strongly suggest.

It's just like Bakewell brand, and it's perfect for scones
4/5

However, the packaging is odd: there is a printed best before date of March 2022, but there is also a sticker at the bottom of the package with a Jan 2022 expiration date. Why? I'm not sure. In any case, with my weekly bake, this will be consumed before then. As previously stated, I tried it on my scones with excellent results. Biscuits are something I'm still undecided about. It's a little pricey (in comparison to Bakewell), but I suppose it's better than nothing in these times.

Version that is more nutritious

There should be no aluminum in any case. If there was one thing I could change, it would be the package. I prefer a lidded container, so I pour it into one and dispose of the package.

Bob's Red Mill is a brand of flour that is made in the United States
5/5

A big thumbs up! Aluminum is absent from this baking powder. I had no idea aluminum was used in some baking powders. I've been putting metal in my baked goods for how long? Yikes! That bothers me a great deal. br>br>Recently, I've become more conscious of how our food is grown and processed in the United States. The use of genetically modified or engineered wheat, corn, soy, canola, and other crops is extremely dangerous! Patt, one of my friends, refers to it as "Franken Food. " Our government does not require manufacturers to label GMO or GE-sourced ingredients, whereas European and Asian governments do. Consumers must become self-advocates for their own and their families' health. That is one of the reasons I enjoy Amazon so much. Bob's Red Mill and dot. com The prices are reasonable, and there is a wide range of options. Thank you for giving families choices!.
