Starch Free Baking Powder in place of Bakewell Cream Baking Powder. Use 3/4 teaspoon for every teaspoon of Bakewell Cream Baking Powder. Before adding the Starch Free Bakewell Cream to your recipe, be sure to mix it well and/or mix it with a teaspoon or two of flour.

For me, it is the best behaving baking powder out there, exhibiting the right double acting behavior without leaving a metallic taste or aftertaste like some others. My search for the following baking powder composition took me to a variety of places In the absence of The aluminum and good double action make this a solid tool. The only objection I have is the small hard flakes about the size of eggshell which I believe might actually be the reason for the double action. But so far these flakes have dissolved in my batter, so maybe this is the key. A lid that is somewhat difficult to open is also present. Even so, the performance is much better than these shortcomings.

It's a great product, but it can be a bit annoying to package it in bags. When I first opened it, I was not prepared for the mess that took over my house! You need to improve your shipping practices.

I looked at a number of sites about I am sorry to say I received a canister with less than six months of expiration. This seems to be a good product so far, but I really do not like the short shelf life. It's important to use fresh ingredients in baking to produce great results.
