Questions & Answers
I made bagels out of the mixture to cut down on carbs. You can make personal pizza bagels with the bagels. If you get 12 bagels out of the mix, one bagel contains 12 grams of carbohydrates and is quite filling for me thanks to the fiber and protein. Tapioca starch is responsible for the carbs. It isn't a low-carb flour; instead, it is dairy-free, grain-free, gluten-free, and paleo.
If you cook it for a shorter period of time, it will be a little wetter; otherwise, it will be crunchy.
The almonds we use have been blanched.

My family teases me about giving up carbs, but they tried this dough and loved it as well. It has a wonderful flavor. There's no discernible difference between this and a regular pizza crust; highly recommended! I make them both at once and keep one in the fridge in a storage bag.
None of the four products appealed to me! They don't use ultra fine almond flour, so everything tastes like sand; perhaps it's because their recipe lacks the necessary ingredients to produce a moist cake, cupcake, or fluffy pancake, but everything is dry and doesn't rise; the chocolate mix was the last one I made, so I assumed it would be the same, so I mixed it as is and baked a test bake. I wouldn't realize I was eating chocolate if I were blindfolded. there is no taste of chocolate; The only thing I get a whiff of are the grittier almonds. So I used espresso coffee to add flavor and moisture, as well as some sugar chocolate chips. It became a lot better as a result of this. Because the coffee was a little too strong, I had to add more almond flour (I had ultra fine). But the problem is that it isn't worth it at all for the price! If I have to doctor the mix just to make it taste "fair," I'm not going to do it. For those who have already purchased this and are experiencing the same problem, process the mixture in a food processor until it is ultra fine, similar to flour. Add moisture-rich ingredients such as zucchini, coffee, unsweetened applesauce, cream cheese, or whatever else appeals to you. Add a pinch of baking powder and let it sit in the moisture for 5 minutes. Time limit: ten minutes Then, for extra healthy fat, add some nuts or a healthy oil, but not too much because the almond flour doesn't absorb as well as regular flour. Best of luck! I did try a different Swerve brand (search amazon for it), and it was much better.
Because I can't eat grains, Almond and Coconut flours are my best friends. Even using Almond flour to make pizza crust does not come close to the quality of this! After trying the cake mix, I was excited to try this, and it did not disappoint! It's obviously not a traditional wheat crust, or even a gluten-free grain crust, but I can't eat processed grains, so it's definitely worth a shot if you're like me. On the first one, I added sauce, daiya cheese, and pepperoni. I also used it to make a fruit pie (apple butter with apple compote and a cinnamon sugar glaze). I'm excited to try more of your products as well!.
I'll admit that after the first couple of bites, I wasn't sure if it was any good. However, once I got used to the flavor and texture, I decided it was so good that I devoured the remaining quarter of the pizza! On a round pizza tray, it sort of melted into all the small holes, making it crumbly and impossible to pick up and eat like a pizza (eating it with a fork was fine). We're going to buy another box to try to prepare it a little differently next time. I'll be honest, it doesn't taste like regular pizza crust! I've only been Paleo for a few months, but I'm sick of hearing people say things like "it tastes exactly like the real thing!" " Like. . When was the last time you had the real thing, and do you think this tastes similar? In any case, it accomplishes its goal (hello, pizza!). ), and just because it doesn't taste exactly like "real" pizza crust doesn't mean it isn't tasty in its own right.
I'm a big fan of Simple Mills crackers, so trying the pizza crust was a no-brainer. br>br>I was hoping to enjoy it. I was serious about it. The texture, on the other hand, was completely off. It reminded me of pizza-eating. soft drinks with different flavors If such a monstrosity exists, it is baked cookies. After eating, I was also uncomfortably full. Granted, I ate a lot more than the recommended serving (after all, who's going to be satisfied after 1/12 of a pizza? ), but I felt like I could have eaten an entire grove of almonds. br>br>On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your relationship? the- frig- did- I eat it with a cauliflower crust or a meat-based sauce. crust. . A hash brown crust, on the other hand, would be the winner. **Full disclosure: br>br> I don't eat things like this for ideological reasons (let's be honest: I'm not a vegetarian). Bread made from ground almonds was probably no more likely to be eaten by Paleolithic man than bread made from ground wheat). Rather, I have a mild allergy to both wheat and milk and, darn it, I just want to eat a decent pizza substitute.
I've been making them for months, and the only thing I do differently from the package directions is preheat my oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook the dough for at least 8 minutes. 10 minutes on a thin cookie sheet (I don't like how it comes out on my pizza stone, it's too mushy!). ) before adding the sauce and toppings, then cook for another 10 minutes or so, until the edges are brown and crispy. That way, you can cut it and pick it up like a pizza (which is thrilling for someone who hasn't had pizza in years!). Thank you for making such a wonderful dough, Simple Mills. When are you going to put this up for sale on Thrive?.
