I like this product, but I'm concerned that a company other than Cortez Milling is going to sell it. No Amazon services are provided by the company. The product is being sold by a third party (maybe NancyAnns?). It is also possible to order directly from Cortez Milling. There is a Facebook page for them and they have stated that Another problem is the price, which is exorbitant. That's pretty scary. It costs $15. The price for a 5 lb bag is 99 cents. A 5 lb bag of the product costs less than $10 in Colorado (where the product is from). It is an excellent flour to use for making fry bread/bannock, tortillas, or even for baking bread, cookies, muffins, and even just about any other type of bread, cookie, or muffin. The only flour that makes the best Navajo fry bread is this flour. I will never buy this again because it is simply too expensive.
The food of New Mexico and Arizona is one of the things I love most about living in Illinois. The Blue Bird Flour that I obtain is specifically designed to make Navajo tacos and sopapillas with an authentic taste.
OK, I'm in love with As an aside. . . you could create an apron out of the flour when you're done with it. The perfect recipe to make authentic Indian fry bread, super easy to use and tastes amazing! The taco Tuesday menu at this location is unique and worth a try if you are looking for something besides traditional tortillas. This is one movie you won't want to miss!.
I'm able to bake and make Indian fry bread with this product.
It was a good choice, but the price was too high, and I later found a better deal on a reservation site.
This is the next best fry bread for Navajo tacos, and it tastes fabulous. The second best thing to be in the res.
It is essential to use this flour for tortillas and frybread. In addition to saving the bag, I always keep it in my car. Unless you are at a trading post or near the Navajo reservation, you can't find this in stores.
