My neighborhood has no stores that carry this, so I can't find it anywhere! I live in the north. It is for this reason that I am willing to pay this price for it online.
Buttermilk is always my go-to milk, and if I want a more 'cake' texture cornbread or if I am making corncakes, I add an egg to 2 1/2 cups In most cases, I do not use an egg for cornbread with a crunchy crust.

In Oregon I have no choice for cornbread and I think it makes excellent cornbread. However, I was disappointed by the price. There is no decent mix to be found.

18 dollars were charged for the item. It costs $6. 99 for a 5 lb bag of corn meal. A corn meal that costs 18 dollars is something I've never heard of before. The fact that there is a virus out there is no reason to be ashamed of.
There is no better author than Martha White! Because it's hard to find in many places, and it is the best dressing and cornbread you can find! Amazon delivers it, which is helpful, because it is hard to find in most places.
Yes, I agree! I enjoy this sort of Corn bread is made so much easier with this recipe. The cornbread baking in the skillet came out very well indeed. I prefer the flavor of yellow corn meal more than white corn meal. While I intend to use this until it is gone and then find a self-rising yellow, I do not mind using this until it is gone.
The cornmeal you make is great. A little on the pricey side.

The texture of a cornbread brand I used for years changed, and I have not been satisfied with the product since. Once again, I am very happy with the results I achieved with Martha White's products. At Thanksgiving, I used it to make cornbread dressing. My friend and I had a blast! I haven't made anything so good in a long time.
