Questions & Answers

How long is the shelf life of this masa flour?

The bags of jerky I usually buy are used up in a reasonable amount of time. However, if I planned on storing this for any length of time, I would most likely do so in the fridge or

Make your own tortillas at home? Can you freeze them?

As for separating each tortilla, we could use parchment paper or wax paper, but I would separate them using parchment paper or wax paper if we did. Hope you have a great day! I would suggest freezing one first to see if the freezing works.

Is your grinding process more fine now that you have improved it?

The grinding process does not need to be improved. Using this masa to make tamales and tortillas is a great idea, if you need a finer flour maybe rice flour will do.

I like the corn flour for my My goal is to make arepas with this flour
5/5

they do a decent job mimicking what I know as arepas, even if they're not exactly what I know as arepas. I like them for not being Harina Pan. They're a bit sweet, but not bad. One of the biggest advantages of this is that it is organic, which is a lot better than Harina Pan (which In addition to stuffing them with ham and cheese, I smeared a little butter on them, and they were pretty tasty. As long as I can still buy this flour to curb my craving for arepas, I am good to go.

There is only one holy grail in life the After using a different brand for several years, I have discovered the one I will never use again
5/5

There was a distinct smell coming from this bag as soon as I opened it. The smell of it is fresh and like corn tortillas. The scent is stronger than what I had before that was more processed. Besides the delicious taste, the texture is wonderful as well. The process of making my own tortillas is my favorite. The dough holds together, and it is easy to do. If you know what I mean, I can make these in advance and they will not crumble when heated. As long as this brand is available, I will buy it. In the past, I didn't consider brand to be important, but it is. Seeing other reviews makes me more eager to try out other dishes. Despite the fact that tortillas are a staple, I see how this texture would be a great addition to a number of.

Tortillas can be made with it because it's typically very fine
4/5

The latest review was posted on March 30, 2017 The quality of Masa isn't as good as I would like but the packaging has improved a great deal since the zip-close pouch was introduced. Besides being double wrapped in another bag, my masa also came in a second bag, which I appreciate just in case the first There is no question that this is a high-quality masa with an outstanding flavor that easily beats Bobs Red Mill and just about any other mass-produced masa. It will stay at 4 stars and if they can make the grind even finer I will consider it a 5 star game! Review of the original Now that I have ordered this item five times, I am getting accustomed to it. A standard 5 star rating was previously applied, but the consistency and fineness of the mass is now varying. In general, the flour is very fine so it works well with tortillas however, I have received this product a few times and it seems like they neglected to grind it properly through the mill or corn As a matter of fact, it has the consistency of cornmeal (no good at all for tortillas or possibly even for In addition, my most recent order included two open bags, one of which had a hole in it. There was even an exterior bag attached to the order. If it is the right stuff, fine powdering consistency, not ripped open, I would really love to update this review, but I think the producer needs to get their act together, real masa is fine and easy to work with, but this cornmeal consistency is not what you.

An unhealthier option to arepas is sought by a Venezuelan
5/5

I have just purchased this product as a healthy alternative to PAN corn flour. Even so, it can be used to make the Venezuelan favorite "arepas" even if it is not the exact consistency. It is a shame that Pan corn flour chose to use GMOs as a base to make their own product. However, this product has a nice sweet corn flavor to it, and my family really enjoys.

The perfect addition to There is no need for seasoning! This is my first time making corn tortillas, and I am very pleased with the results
5/5

It has yet to be tried for any other purpose. I like the flavor of this food very much. There was no other substance in my masa besides the flour and water. In addition to a cast iron skillet and a cast iron tortilla press, I use a cast iron skillet for making a good tortilla. As long as you get the texture of the tortilla right, you don't need the tortilla press. There is an element of art to it. In addition to being extremely helpful, this is a lot I would like to point out A small amount of cooking oil can be rubbed on a cast iron tortilla press to prevent it from sticking to the pan. Plastic wrap is very unnecessary and wasteful, and I do not endorse its use. Take a few drops of any cooking oil (I use extra virgin olive oil) and rub it on both sides of the surface with a The cloth should be thrown in the laundry with regular clothing. It is basically the same thing you do with cast iron skillets.

It has an incredible taste! The fish tacos I bought for dinner included them
5/5

There is an AMAZING recipe on the bag of flour and it's so much fun to make! My version is exactly the same except I also threw in a bit of turmeric and used chipotle chili powder instead of regular chili powder to add a little heat. It has an incredible taste! The tortillas I bought were meant for fish tacos for dinner, but I'm savoring 3 of them on my own as I write this review. This will be my staple food! I will eat them every day!.

This masa is just as tasty as my own homemade from scratch masa made with My surprise at this was great! If I add too much water to my own homemade masa, this is what I buy to add
5/5

It occurred to me that I could make tortillas just by itself. My dough is made without following a recipe I simply add enough warm water to make a dough and let it sit for 30 minutes wrapped in plastic. As I have a commercial-style tortilladora (tortilla press), I pressed them out, heated the griddle, and flipped three times to cook the other side You have read it four It had been a while since I used the grocery store brand. The disease is called Masseca, and it is awful. We have a way better mass this time. Honest to goodness, it is delicious, and it is hard to tell it apart The fact that I am shocked makes me angry. The yellow mass is in my shopping cart, but I have not yet used it. In my opinion, this mass is highly recommended due to two factors. There is no doubt that this is organic food. It is also yummy and has a wonderful texture.

I urge you to take this review with a grain of salt
3/5

Since I've been searching for an organic masa flour to make Colombian arepas for years, make sure to take this review with a grain of salt. Due to this product's flaws, it's not the right solution for my needs. can see how this could be used to make Colombian tamales, but I doubt this can also be used We have arepas that are textured and smooth at the same time. Also, the white corn which we used was very yellow when we served it. If anyone has any suggestions on which brand to buy, please comment!.
