I have ordered grits from Palmetto Farms for several years and am very satisfied with the products. The last time I ordered grits and corn meal was a few months ago. The products I received were still in the packaging they came in, and I put them in a plastic container once they arrived. Approximately three to four weeks later, I opened the corn meal and was greeted by bugs! Later, I checked my grits and saw that they were gray. It was the first time I had seen grey grits. I think the corn meal had the bugs in it since nothing else was bug infested in the pantry. It is a real disappointment. A package of $9 worth of grits and corn meal went into the trash for no apparent reason. Please take caution!.

As a former fan of Palmetto Farms' corn grits, I am now increasingly fond of their products. The muslin in which the corn is marketed also appeals to me. As a preventative measure, I put the grits and meal in airtight bags in the freezer and keep a small amount in the refrigerator in a glass jar to keep them fresh.
The search for non-toxic cleaning products has lasted for quite a while GMO yellow corn, not white corn (yellow corn has more flavor, based on my personal taste). that my search is over, I can rest easy. It's good that I bought this cornmeal hoping for a coarse texture, but I was sadly disappointed A cereal grain that tastes good in the morning. The corn meal I purchased was very fine-ground, and I could not tell any differences between it and the corn meal sold by Quaker or generic brands in the store. There doesn't seem to be much point in paying more for this. Taste trials were conducted (blind tests), and it wasn’t possible to tell a difference between the two. Save a few bucks and go to the grocery store instead. I do like the cute cloth bag it comes in. It could be the reason why I paid more money.
