Exceptionally tasty! I'm going to have to order more before I run out! br>br>Wheat is difficult for me to digest, but barley is not. This stuff is incredible!.
I thought I was getting black barley, which is what I wanted, but it's actually barley with a black coloring added to it. When it's washed or cooked, the color fades, changing the color of the rice it's cooked with, which is how I use it. I wouldn't mind paying the higher price if I knew I was getting exactly what I wanted.
We used this as a side dish for a pork roast and it was absolutely delicious. The recipe called for regular barley, but I used purple barley, which didn't turn everything purple. . . but it had such a wonderful flavor and I'm a huge fan of barley.
It tastes great and is high in antioxidants, but it's a bit pricey. You must determine whether it is worthwhile.
br>It takes a little longer to prepare, but it tastes great with anything. br>However, it is a bit pricey. br>I apologize for not being able to post a picture.
It's a delicious dish.
The purple barley is lovely and tastes great, and it arrived quickly.
