I'm no longer able to check because I've completed my three bags. br>The only thing I can say about it is that it's delicious and kosher.
Normally, I only wash and cook the food on the spot. I put about 4-cups of mung bean and barely together (1/2 cup each) in the pot when I cook them together. Cook for about half an hour with 5 cups of water. They'll finish it. (Soup)

I now live in North Carolina, but I was born and raised in New Jersey. Barley is widely available in supermarkets throughout New Jersey. However, it can only be found in smaller boxes of 'Quick' barley in North Carolina, which is more expensive for less barley. br>br>This product had the same flavor and consistency as any other brand of barley, but it cost more than $3 per pound (at the time of purchase). When I was in New Jersey, I was able to purchase it for just over $1 per pound at a supermarket. br>br>So, if you need barley for a recipe (beef barley soup, anyone? ), this is the place to go. ), it's fantastic. It will almost certainly be far less expensive and just as tasty/healthy if you can find it in a local grocery store.
I was a little hesitant because it didn't look like what I was used to, but it appears to be healthier. I made a whole bag of it, and it was delicious. It's delicious. I frozen two-thirds of it, giving me more options for meals. I'm glad I completed the bag in its entirety.
It's both tasty and good for you. It wasn't the 45-minute kind, as I had assumed. The extra time spent preparing is well worth it. It was a pleasant surprise for me.
Barley is one of my favorite grains. I would make it for breakfast, eat it hot or cold, and then use it as a rice substitute for lunch.
It appeals to me greatly. It can be used to make red bean porridge.
