Questions & Answers

How can this be 21 fluid ounces if there is a serving size of 2 tablespoons and, in total, roughly 13 servings. 13 fluid ounces is what it calculates to be, correct?

Here it is, I'm not sure I've explained it very well. In a measuring cup, water is the only thing that actually weighs what it says. The weight of a 1/2 cup of water will be 4 ounces, but a 1/2 cup of syrup will differ.

Do you know if it contains wheat or gluten?

Rice is used as the main ingredient and all wheat products are avoided. My gluten free rice and peanut butter bars are made with this mix

Is there a need to refrigerate your product after opening it?

No mention of refrigerating the jar after opening can be found on the label. When I opened the first one months ago, I did not refrigerate it. Just retrieved it from my pantry, opened it, and if it looks exactly the same as it did when it was brand new, it's fine. The taste is the same as well

How much sugar is added to this product?

The Lundberg Organic Brown Rice Syrup is made up of the following ingredients Affects the environment Rice grown in brown fields, filtered water from a pure source. Although there are no added sugars, you should keep in mind that it is a sweetener and contains 22 grams of sugar for Despite the fact that I dislike brown rice syrup, I have made delicious pies with it. Corn syrup is not my favorite. I prefer this instead.

Fruits that are high in fructose Easily produced with free sweetener (4/5 quality and sustainability stars) and free shipping
4/5

Compared to refined white sugar (GI of 65), brown rice syrup has a very high glycemic index (GI) of 98, which is similar to glucose. It is false that it has a GI of 25 according to several sources on the web. Do not be influenced by the GI, since it can be A sweetener that contains a lot of fructose, such as agave nectar, has a low GI because fructose does not spike blood sugar levels. Does that sound reasonable to you? Not at all! An excess of fructose in the diet appears to lead to abdominal fat, high triglycerides, free radicals (cancer risk), insulin resistance, and Low GI foods can actually have a lot of fat in them, so they have a low GI (ice cream has a low GI because it has a lot of fat in it! In brown rice syrup, 3 percent glucose is combined with 45% maltose and 52% maltotriacetic acid. Glucose is made up of two molecules of glucose linked together, and maltotriose is made up of three molecules -- both are quickly broken down into glucose when eaten. We most commonly use glucose as a form of energy, which is easily managed on a daily basis - as long as we consume it in moderation. In comparison, regular ("light") corn syrup works in much the same way as brown rice syrup - the starch from the grain is converted to maltose (i. e. Glucose) - both are Unlike high-speed internet, this method is far more reliable High fructose corn syrup in which most In the case of agave nectar, it is approximately The fructose to glucose ratio is 13 (also bad! The statements by Oz turn out to be false on this point) while most sugars, coconut sugar, honey, and maple syrup have a different ratio It is made up of 1 fructose and 1 glucose (when broken In addition to the minerals and phytonutrients that are present in raw honey, maple syrup, raw brown sugar, some of these are As the most common form of sugar in fruit, fructose is the most prevalent. Whether fructose is eaten in fruit or in combination with other nutrients is not a problem - the problem occurs when large amounts of fructose are consumed regularly without a balance of fiber and other nutrients (e. g. It could be in a processed food or soda). It's hard to find sweet fruit that contains more than 10% fructose, like apples and grapes. Hence, when it comes to sweeteners, the most important thing is to reduce your intake and balance the sugar intake with other ingredients in every meal and snack, such as fiber, protein, fat, etc. In some circumstances, however, it's okay to do something quite sweet (ex. Sugar content) of 15-20%, such as cookies or cake, glucose would be a better option A scare has been issued about arsenic levels in rice and rice syrup - the levels found are around the EPA limits for drinking water, but I doubt it will be significant to the average person because their intake is so low (relative to drinking water). The problem with brown rice syrup is that it tastes much less sweet than sugar syrup or honey, so you have to use more at a time. In addition to 1 14 cups, Lindberg recommends using 1 14 cups of syrup in place of one cup. The homemade granola bars I made turned out quite well, but I used raw honey for this recipe.

Making Kind Bars at Home Has Never Been Easier! If you are making homemade type bars, brown rice syrup is a must have ingredient
5/5

I don't even want you to The manufacturer does not sell this in any grocery stores so I tried substituting things I thought would work (honey, maple syrup, molasses, etc. ) with disastrous outcomes. The usual mess is a crumbly, sticky one. The fact that this product provides the BEST results, every time, is what made me want to look for it on the internet. My second jar of the product will arrive soon, and I'm sure there will be a third, fourth, and fifth in the near I give it ten.

You can use this if you have IBS because it is low in FODMAP
5/5

The only syrup that appears to be suitable for people on low FODMAP diets is this one. I like it to put on my French toast with berries on top. It is not as sweet as other syrups, but it provides a great addition and doesn't irritate my sensitive digestion. While the syrup is a bit pricey, I'm glad to be able to have it whenever I want and not experience any IBS symptoms.

It's a clean slate
5/5

It has a low glycemic index and is a great sweetener. To compliment it, I spread it on toast and top it with Trader Joe's Almond Butter, a high-quality and healthy product with a great Over 20 years ago, once I discovered the value of brown rice syrup and almond butter, I began making this for my family. To avoid the same problem, I also use agave syrup instead of maple syrup.

Pecan pie is delicious when made with this recipe! A friend of mine introduced me to this product after wondering how she could substitute the corn syrup in her pecan pie recipe
5/5

I am so glad she introduced me to it!! Lundberg Organic Brown Rice Syrup is better in terms of texture and flavor compared to anything I have used before for my pie recipes. I made the best pecan pie of all time with it this year. The product is excellent! I highly recommend it!.

The money is well spent
5/5

Earlier that week I went to an Asian market to pick up some rice syrup, but they didn't have this brand, which I heard was known to be the absolute best. So I purchased it on When it arrived it was packaged in what I can only describe as an "epic bubble wrap UFO. " I wish I had taken a picture before I opened it. There was a lot of care taken in This is a great color. In order to make cold process soap, I will use it as sugar source. Thanks so much for the wonderful rice syrup, and for making the visit so enjoyable.

The product was broken when it arrived
3/5

Therefore, I am not quite sure what to do when reviewing rated it 1 star, but I was not allowed to post it. There was one major disadvantage of the product I never got to use it because the bottle arrived broken. I cannot return the product either. There is not way for me to tell you if it is a great product.

Compared to corn syrup, this is a much better alternative. The pecans I had went into a pecan pie. I loved it.
