You should be able to use an entire bag 11 oz is the size of a bag. Although the 14 oz bag of wrapped caramels has some wrapping on it. You could add - if you have a few wrapped ones If you have a bulk candy section in your store, would that be helpful? 14 oz. of water to add to the 14 oz. It might be best to use the wrapping. I don't think that much of the 14oz weight comes from it.
Honestly, I do not know what the answer is. In a bag weighing 11 oz, the bits are contained. There are no wrappers to deal with
Due to the fact that I have only used the bits for melting, I can't comment on how they might It did turn out that the bits I found in my drawer were chewable, so I suppose they would work in cookies as well.
You are allowed to open the bags as long as they are open

The 12 packages came in with very sparse contents and felt incredibly lightweight compared with normal kraft caramel packages. After unboxing them, I noticed how depressed I was to see the contents were so sparse. Getting my new kitchen scale out has been quite a challenge. Each package was weighed after the weight was converted to ounces. All but one of the animals were the proper weight, the rest weighing between six and eight pounds I intend to do about 7 oz and a few more There is no way I am buying these seconds, it may be a scam product or someone may be siphoning off the caramel bits and resealing the bags to sell them, but this is really creepy and probably a rip-off.
A group of my students and I recently made caramel apples using this product, which I had purchased recently as part of my FCS (Home Ec) course. I had a horrible time working with the product. Heating it in the microwave (at reduced power) caused it to scorch If you heated the mixture in a crockpot, it resembled melted candle wax In addition, even after carefully heating on the stove, the soup never reached true dippable consistency. Bubbles would occur, but it never achieved the "high heat" liquidy stage required to dip successfully. The students had to hurriedly dip their apples in caramel only to find that it drips off in sheets, so they ended up setting the sliding apples on parchment paper before they acquired a good covering, which led to the apple having big "feet" on the bottom. Due to its rapid set up, it was difficult for the kids to cut off the "feet. " It fell off the table that I added crushed cookies or pretzel bits. In total, I was not satisfied with the results. It is not suitable for dipping use.
These were delivered to me just last week and I've been itching to try using them in a recipe. I created a peanut butter caramel cake as my first attempt. Butterscotch bits found in supermarkets are not the same as they don't act or taste like the artificial ones. In my opinion, the best thing about using these caramel bits in a recipe is that you do not have to unwrap a lot of caramels to get them ready for use. My recipe called for heavy cream, sugar, and caramel bits. As soon as the caramel bits melted, they became smooth and easy to stir. They are so yummy! I love them! All I have to do now is keep myself from eating them as snacks! You can also weigh out what you need for your recipe using a kitchen scale if you have one.
Not only do you not have to unwrap each caramel individually, but the pieces will A 1 qt container was filled with the contents of the package. To 1 Tbsp of water, put the glass bowl on the counter. My old microwave works well for this I heat it on high for 90 seconds, stir, and then heat it for 30 seconds twice more. It takes just a few minutes, stirring each time. You'll have to wait for about a minute. The time spent on each task is reduced. It may be necessary for you to lower the microwave power if you use a newer microwave. A slowly melting substance creates fewer bubbles than a quick melting substance.
I searched for these online, but couldn't find them in stores in Seattle, so I ordered a box of 12. I was very pleased with the transaction. No shipping costs and all the tickets will be used up well before the expiration date of 9/30/11.
In order to make my gourmet big chocolate chunk cookies with salted caramel, I use these ingredients.
This batch of those I received was very hard and barely melted, according to my past experience with them. There is an old-fashioned taste to this Sorry to disappoint you.
I am very grateful that I were able to buy them. Thank you very much, it will be great. I appreciate your help. A second time.
Easy and good! You don't have to unwrap 12 pounds of caramels anymore, which is so convenient. I've found the products to be very good quality and they also work wonders on my pecan logs! A considerable amount of time is saved with the same level of accuracy.
