There appears to be no gluten in the bit. In the ingredients, there is no mention of wheat.

If these were dropped into hot chocolate, would they melt?

The number of variables is too great. When it comes to the hot chocolate, how hot is it? Thanks much for asking. I think you'll soon see it melting if you stir it around.

There is nothing good about these. Almost mealy, with an almost grainy texture, the texture is all wrong. The taste is also quite different from regular caramels. The only difference between the two is that there is no wrapping to deal with. The size of the bag is also inconvenient. Two have to be purchased to get to a pound of ingredients It's a shame to waste money like this. The next time I buy these, I won't.

No need to sacrifice convenience for convenience's sake

It is a great convenience to make caramel treats with these caramel bits, but sadly, the taste and texture are not as good as homemade caramel. There are no buttery caramel flavors nor is it as sweet as it used to be. As far as the texture goes, it is too crumbly and does not stretch as it should. The next time, I will either make my own caramel or buy the individually wrapped bags of.

UUUMMMMM The recipe I was working on for a special occasion called for them, but I couldn't find them locally, so Amazon was once again my savior. COOKIES, BROWNIES, ANY TYPE OF BAKED GOOD OR CANDY CAN BE MADE WITH THESE. have put them in chocolate chip cookies and made sea salt brownies with them THEY ARE AMAZING, EVEN WHEN STILL WARM AND THE CARAMEL IS SOFT AND DRIPPATING OFF YOUR TONGUE - THE ONLY PILOT IS THAT THEY ARE GOOD TO EAT WITH YOUR HANDS. DONT CARE ABOUT THE DOLLARS! PLAN TO ORDER POTENTIALLY MULTIPLE BAGS, AS THE GOODIES WILL DIE QUICKLY. A few points. I have also found them to be fun to throw at my spouse or children.

This is an excellent baking ingredient! That's what I like about these bits I don't have to open them! I have used them for desserts over and over because they are delicious, melt really easily and well, and are very easy to work with

Describe how Hobs Likes them. My main problem with the texture is that it's too rough. I bought these so I could add them It will take him longer to eat them than I can bake the cookies.

Baking, decorating, and making candy are all good uses for it

I baked these in caramel applesauce muffins so that they tasted like candied apples. I was expecting one or two chewier strands, but they did not melt as much as I had hoped, so they were not as uniform as I had hoped. Nonetheless, the small size is better for melt because I tend to drizzle over them more than eat straight from the bag.

These caramels bake up so much easier and taste so much better than packaged caramels

Adding these to cookies and muffins is one of my favorite things to do with them. The caramel squares are much more difficult to unwrap and cut than these.
