As with any other mix of flour, baking soda, and oil, the bad reviews are absurd. It's okay to add an egg but don't overdo it Make sure you stir it well. Sugar will make it taste sweet. If you want it to taste sweet, you will need to add more. The layer is as thick as you like, but it's not a requirement. It is, of course, possible to thin out the mix by making it very wet. This pancake flour tastes like all other pancake flours, but it is organic.
I can make two breakfasts from one box for two adults, around 10 pancakes, more if you make small silver dollar pancakes. I use butter instead of cooking spray and the ends are.
I tried Annies for the first time, and I can see why I'm hooked! As a result of the flavor, the lightness of the batter, and knowing that it is organic, I have seen no other fillers in the flour I have purchased. This pancake mix is the best on the market. The fact that it is organic and low in sugar is great. It is a favorite of my children. The texture and flavor are excellent.
Water is not the only thing that is needed. This recipe can be adapted easily to suit your needs. I substituted the eggs with a vegan eggless Just Eggs & Milk Milk was replaced with Macadamia nut milk called milkadamia, and that turned out delicious. I had no idea eggs and milk were required for this recipe. Water seemed to be the only thing I needed to add. The "just egg" and milkadamia on hand that I used to make everything turned out beautifully. I wish it were that simple, but I had the "just egg" and milkadamia on hand.
This is the pancake for you if you like very thick pancakes. Thus, it is the complete mixes that I prefer I can determine what the pancake thickness is from the thickness of the batter. As far as I am concerned, it wasn't my cup of tea.
It is closer to the taste of non organic pancake brand than other organic mixes I've tried many created a cake-like result and never tasted good this organic mix is closest to the taste of non organic pancake brands I've tried.
