Do you get a cough syrup taste from other scones? If you follow the recipe exactly, these scones will be delicious. I've come to the conclusion that I don't care for scones in general—they're too dry and crumbly—but these were acceptable scones. For baked goods, I like to use fresh or frozen blueberries. Cough syrups, by the way, aren't they usually cherry-flavored?

I'd only ever had "store bought" scones before, and they were delicious (scones are a bit of a rarity in the South). br>br>They're simple to put together (the chef in me wanted to use buttermilk instead of water, but I went with water). I baked them and sipped my coffee while waiting for them to finish. br>br>I did leave them in the oven for a few minutes longer to give them a nice brown tint. WOW is all I have to say. I took a chance and ordered them in the hopes that they would turn out well. They taste great. Because one bag makes far too many scones for one person, I reduced the instructions on the bag to calculate for two scones, which turned out beautifully. The blueberry scone mix is my favorite, but all of the Sticky Fingers scone mixes are delicious. When I want something to eat with my tea, I freeze leftovers and reheat them in the toaster oven. It's that simple.
