I bought these because my wife went out of town for six days, so I would have something to eat at home. For the first day, I just ate a package of rice and beans on its own. There was very little flavor in it. I went up to the grocery store and bought a bottle of Louisiana Sauce (not as hot as Tabasco) and a six-pack of Pepsi It consists of a pack of precooked andouille sausages. I would slice one sausage link into rice and beans when they were heated. When the rice and beans had cooled enough, I would heat the mixture for 60 seconds. A great (ok, passable) meal was ready to be made when I mixed them all together and drank the Louisiana Sauce. As a whole, rice and beans rank four out of five It would be worthwhile to be a star. With the addition of the andouille I would give it a solid 4 out of 5. I can't give it 5 stars because it's too salty.
Perhaps I'm the only one, but I didn't like the taste of this dish. I tried adding some ketchup to it, and it improved slightly. However, next time I will probably use my rice cooker and flavor my own rice with something I will really enjoy. The rest of this will go in the garbage. There might be some people who are fond of the flavor of the product because it's packaged well and comes in a microwave-friendly pouch that heats quickly. Overall, I gave it 3 stars.
In a bag you'll find rice and beans. It's okay, to be honest. Whenever chicks ask me how I do it, I just put it on a plate and tell them I'm a good It's okay to pretend to know how to cook if that's what you're into. This is a good buy. I may let the beans go, but maybe not. When you start farting in front of your date after all the hoopla about knowing how to cook, it can make your date seem disinterested. I guess you shouldn't buy it then.
In the last several months, I have been unable to find this rice mix at my grocery store. The product was ordered online, even though it was much more expensive. There is nothing better than a good meal made from fresh ingredients. In my opinion, it is worth checking out. within a short time frame.
Rice that tastes good and is easy to put together. Rice and beans aren't readily available in my area so it's a bit expensive.
This is my go-to meal when I'm in a hurry. top the pizza with marinated onions (old southern way) and serve it with crusty bread and a small salad. There is no need for me to wait for the dinner to be cooked. VERY GOOD STUFF, thank you!.
When ordering online, I verify the expiration date and make sure it is still valid. These packages will be available for use until the end of the year. The sweet Italian turkey sausage has a particular appeal for us. I received these in a timely manner.
