I filled the cup halfway with boiling water, covered it with a saucer, and set it aside to cool. It worked out quite well! I've also tried cooking them in the microwave, and the results are the same. I hope this information is useful.
Only the chicken was on my order.

Another reviewer complained that it was too oily, but I didn't pay attention; I had a thought- oh well, I guess they're just picky. After all, what can you expect from a cup of ready-made pasta? It turns out that I should have paid attention to the warning. It IS oily, to the point of being unappealing. Aside from that, the flavor packet has a distinct flavor-- I'm not sure what it is that I'm looking for. But it's not butter and garlic, in my opinion. I'm not impressed; it tastes more like oil and salt. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. So I gave it away to someone who said it wasn't too oily and tasted fine, so I guess you never know until you try.
I bought the "3-in-1" package. flavor variety pack" and "cheesy cups variety pack" to see how well they'd fit into my emergency pantry supplies, assuming they'd last a long time and come in a wide range of flavors. I was a little disappointed to see that, despite the fact that these are listed as having a 6-star rating, they only have a 4-star rating. month shelf life, and the two different variety packs I purchased had apparently both been sitting in a warehouse for four months, so I only had a little more than two months before they expired. by date. Also, when I opened the outer boxes, I noticed that two of the upside-down cups had broken open and spilled their rice contents into the box. I had two more where the paper lid had begun to separate, but the contents did not spill out because they were standing upright. Both of these flaws significantly reduce the value of these variety packs as emergency pantry supplies, and I will not be purchasing any more for that reason. br>br>As for the rice/pasta, it has the consistency of an "instant" rice product, with a texture that is a little mushier than a regular (non-instant) rice product once cooked. Most of the rice flavors were decent, with "Jalapeno Cheddar" and "Chicken" being my favorites for the rice cups. However, the "Parmesan and Romano" pasta flavor selection was the best overall in terms of both physical texture and flavor, so I may buy more of those if I can find them in a local store where I can inspect the cups before purchasing.
These are my absolute favorite! I was so excited to find it online for a reasonable price because it was so good but I couldn't find it in the store. I do agree with the reviews, though, that these things can turn out really bad. You have to experiment with them; after cooking, I usually drain a lot of water, stir thoroughly, and then wait a few minutes for it to set up. It's usually ready to eat after about 10 minutes, and it's so tasty. I've even stuffed them with chicken.
It is only now that it has opened. The month of September is currently underway. 23rd, 2019 (return deadline is September 23rd, 2019). 3) The product had gone bad. Stale food should be thrown away. I'm out this money and won't order again because the deadline is October 14, 2019.
I was very disappointed that I received 12 different cups - as a survivalist, I was looking to add to my food survival supplies. three pieces of chicken 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese 3 Broccoli/Chicken Romano All of them, however, are set to expire on May 31, 2021! These babies can't be stored for anything that has to do with their survival. Even between now and then, 12 cups is a lot to eat. I won't be able to do it until June 1st, but I will. In the meantime, I've bought some non-refrigerated foods that will last for years. Disappointed to the point of frustration.
This was such a good deal for me. They tend to be salty, but overall the taste is great. They go in the microwave. I've never tried it, but I'm sure you could boil water, pour it in, and hope for the best. If you do, please let me know how it turned out. Not everyone has a microwave or access to one. I just mentioned it first so anyone purchasing would know right away. Rice a Ronie has a great taste you can count on.
It's a hit with both my daughter and me. It has a light buttery flavor with a hint of garlic that is both delicious and filling. It only takes 3 minutes to prepare and is perfect for those hectic days. These Cups are brought by my daughter for a light lunch while she is attending a busy schedule of activities. It's filling, and I ate it for a quick lunch at work. We've also eaten it with a salad or a piece of chicken on the side. My local supermarket does not carry it, so we are grateful to be able to order them online. We will, without a doubt, place another order. Delicious and quick-to-prepare Also, it's simple to make, filling, and affordable.
I bought these to take to a convention because I was staying with a few friends who had a microwave and didn't want to spend too much money on food. This was an excellent choice. I'm a big eater, so I'd have more than one for dinner, but it was enough for me. They were also tasty enough to take to work for dinner during the night shift. Every single one of the flavors was fantastic. I don't think the chicken is quite as good as the other two, but it could use a little something. I know that adding a little fiesta blend cheese to the other two flavors improved their flavor, so that's something to think about. Overall, I'd buy these again because they lasted a long time for me.
