This item was outdated, ineffective, and difficult to prepare.
Zatarin rice mixes have taken their place in my supermarket, replacing the old, difficult-to-understand Zatarin rice mixes. It's similar to Hamburger Helper for rice, but with NOLA names. br>I'm sure "Dirty Rice" is no longer available due to its poor taste. It has an odd name, but it tastes so authentic that anyone who enjoys real Cajun spices should try it.
This is my kind of stuff! Especially when served alongside smoked sausage or spicy fried chicken.
A fantastic spice blend. Adding sausage is a simple way to turn a single pan meal into a complete meal.
I'm a big fan of dirty rice. It's a little spicy, and it's a simple dish to make. This is a fantastic meal or side dish that is quick and easy to prepare. This is the Zatarain's product that you should try if you only have time to try one.

Ground beef has never appealed to me as much as chicken. As a single guy feeding myself, I've discovered that it's often difficult to come up with simple, cost-effective meals. Granted, these were cheaper in the store, but sadly, the 8oz boxes are no longer available in my local grocery stores, only the "Family Size. " br>br>Here's how I went about it:
1- Butterfly cut in half from a 5 pound chicken breast. br>Then cut into fajita strips the size of a pinky. br>Add some butter, Cayenne pepper, paprika, onion salt, fresh or dried cilantro, and about 2-cups of water to the pot. 4 tbsp. adobo sauce with pureed Chipotles (My personal favorite is La Morena®. ) br>br>Do not drain the liquid after it has been cooked; instead, add the appropriate amount to match the 2. 5 gallons of water (This usually amounts to about 2 cups, depending on how much pump is added to the chicken. ) br>Add in the rice mix and cook according to the package directions, up until the last 5 minutes of simmering, when you can add in frozen peas or green beans for some extra greenery, and let it simmer to a thick consistency. br>From start to finish, the average cooking time is: 35- The time limit is 40 minutes. br>br>From there, spread some Fage Greek yogurt on a warmed tortilla, top with pico, or just diced tomatoes and onions, depending on your personal preference, a little shredded Wisconsin aged Cheddar, wrap it up, and you've got a week's worth of delicious spicy burrito lunches. br>br>(I like to add a little Hot Ones® Last Dab® or Conscrictor® hot sauce, but I'm a spicy person. ) )br>br>It was a delicious meal, but I'm disappointed that my local supermarkets no longer stock the smaller packages.
