A trip to New Orleans allowed me to pick up this stuff and bring I failed to pick up more trash than I should have. You only need a little ground beef and the instructions, and this is half of a delicious meal for several people. Usually I'll avoid buying food online, but I've decided to make an exception in this case. A little Cajun here and there is enough to let you know it's there, but not so much as to heat up the little ones. We had worse in some restaurants in Louisiana than this, so it's truly the best that Louisiana has to offer. This is a great way to use leftovers as well. The reheating of certain rice dishes can cause them to get sticky or soggy. I have found that this reheats very well. In reality, the trick is to nuke it on about half power for a few minutes until it starts to warm up and you can stir it. If you do that cold, you will probably tear up your serving spoon while eating the rice.
This was an easy recipe Browning a pound of sausage and boiling water set me up for a successful first meal. There is now a rice package and sausage package. A good balance of flavors without being overly Cajun doesn't always have to be hot, and it doesn't have to be hot in any way. I love the combination of flavors of this mix that reminds me of my grandmother's recipe. The Jambalaya mixture is also fantastic!.
The hamburger and andouille sausage are made with this recipe. I like it better with sausage. This is ridiculously easy to prepare if you use a rice cooker.
The meal was excellent, I usually use frozen food, but I had to ship from out of state. I added a cup of white rice and that helped make it less salty. The quality of the meal was still.
