Questions & Answers
Because of their light weight, these are an excellent choice for hermit crabs. Other shells, such as Trochus, Murex, and Turbo shells, are also acceptable, but I find that the crabs are less active as a result of the weight of those shells.
After a thorough cleaning, you can re-use them. Of course, the intended use is also a consideration.
They've already been washed and cleaned, so you shouldn't have to.

This item was purchased specifically for my multi-species "Lake Tang" biotope aquarium. I'd like to explain how I rated this product based on the factors I considered. br>br>Pros: (Reasons for a three-star rating)br>- br>Value for money - Cons: Exceptional packagingbr>br> (Reason for two stars being deducted)br>- Because they are crushed, at least 4 to 5 shells in the box are useless.
- The shell sizes vary; I purchased the same shells from a different source where the shell sizes were uniform.
- When compared to the ones I purchased from other vendors, the shells are quite small.
These snails come in a very well protected plastic container; when I received them, the first thing I did was soak them in vinegar and bicarbonate, expecting them to be dirty; however, to my surprise, the snails were already very well washed, clean, and in excellent condition; all were in perfect condition, and none arrived broken; the only detail was that when counting them, two units were missing; I assume this was due to their size at the time of packaging. I continue to give them 5 stars and enthusiastically endorse them. I tell them that I prepare some rich and delicious escargot with my wife, that we have a good glass of wine and that we feel transported in time, remembering some of our trips to Paris, and that these snails can be used many times, as a suggestion, you just have to soak them in vinegar and bicarbonate overnight, drain the next day, put them to dry, and they will be as good as new to be used again.
They're perfect for my cichlids that live in shells! They like how big the shells are, and I like how they're striped! I'm content if my fish are content.
Shells of excellent quality. Escargot with garlic parsley butter were cooked in the shells. Both the escargot and the display plates are compatible with them. I would strongly suggest it.
These will be used in a nano African shell dweller aquarium. Everything is in order. When I arrived, there were only a few cracked ones, but I had enough to finish the job. They can also be used to decorate other tanks. Thx.
If you're tempted to put two numbers in the box, don't. 3 in the shell don't because they're difficult to get back. Several sacrificed snails were discovered during the cleaning process. LOL. To avoid being disappointed, use large Escargot in these shells. I overestimated and purchased two containers, the second of which I assumed would be returnable but was not! So, be cautious. I'm still not seeing any explicit NO RETURNS information on the product information page. sad.
I bought these for my French class so they could try escargot for the first time. They added a nice touch and worked well; the recipe is far more important, but the shells added an air of 'authenticity' to the dish.
They're great for putting sea creatures on or in, and they're also great for hiding your fish in.
