I assumed I was ordering the no-salt-added version, which is clearly shown on the product in the photo. Instead, I got everything with sea salt. br>br>I paid twice as much as I would have in the grocery store, but it isn't always available. I made my payment under the assumption that I was ordering what was displayed. There will be no bait and switch here. br>It also took a long time for it to arrive. The order was postponed after postponement after postponement.
For the past six months, I've been eating canned chicken every day. I bought a dozen cans from Amazon because the market I usually go to was out of stock. However, I was taken aback when I opened the can! Only about three-quarters of the chicken remained in the can, which was surrounded by a large amount of water. The can's description matches the product I'd been purchasing. I purchased it because the contents appeared to be the same. br>I will not purchase this product in the future. I'm not pleased with myself. It was a significant outlay of funds.
The chicken is flavorful and fresh. I am very pleased with the product, and the fact that it comes from family farms is important to me. And it's all natural. A few of my cans had minor dents when they arrived. The case is delivered in a single layer of cans. I believe that shipping it in a box with some plastic airfilled pillows to cushion it would be beneficial.
Its low sodium content, on the other hand, makes it a good choice for heart health. The chicken is delicious! To be able to afford it, I keep an eye on Amazon's price fluctuations and buy it when it's at a lower price. This appears to be determined by the availability of the product.
It's a good product that I've been using for a long time, and it's from Wild Planet, so it's reputable. I'm sure other brands are as well, but I trust Wild Planet because I use their products frequently. In the can, this dish is fully cooked, roasted, and pressure cooked. Around the edge, there's a smidgeon of natural juice, sometimes a more jelly-like consistency. like juice, which comes naturally from cooked and cooled chicken. I use both the salt-free and salt varieties, but prefer the salt-free because I can season it myself. We eat it straight out of the can in chicken salad, and it's always a hit. To add protein and volume to other cooked chicken, I occasionally add a can. I put it in soups, chicken pot pies, and dips from time to time. It is excellent. Other brands I've tried were ok, a few were great, and a few I fed to the dog. It's always a good time on Wild Planet. I pay a little more for organic food at the grocery store, and prepared food is always more expensive, but considering there is no waste, i. e. no skin, bone, or odd-looking little pieces you pick off from whole pieces of chicken, I consider this to be comparable in price when comparing usable chicken weight. It may be a little more, but I'm paying for convenience (or is it laziness?). haha). I keep buying it, and several guests have inquired about the brand and have started using it as a result. That's how good it really is. You must use a fork to break up the chunks in the can. I use the water or jelly that the chicken is in, along with the chunks, unless I need a dryer chicken. I'd suggest it.
It's a low-salt dish that's good for you, and it tastes great when you add DASH. Rice, potatoes, vegetables, buckwheat, and noodles are all good accompaniments. Meat of excellent quality that is also organic. Nothing has been added, the chunk of chicken in the can is fresh and in one solid piece, it smells good, and my diabetic dog eats a little every day as a snack. I bought a case of it because it lasts so long. It is not inexpensive, but it is necessary for our dog's well-being. (Because I don't eat meat, the dog gets all of it. ) I also give some to the neighbor's cat, who is sick and grumpy, and she will eat it!.
This was once my go-to organic chicken canned in a can. In fact, a year or two ago, I gave it a five-star rating. Yes, it looks like a large "hockey puck" in the can, and yes, it crumbles when separated with a fork, but there was always only a small amount of chicken broth in the can, which was quickly absorbed. The flavor, on the other hand, was fantastic. br>br>Recently, I've received a few cans that contain a lot of liquid but little chicken. I can't justify paying a premium for a product that is inconsistent, so I'll look for something else.
