Questions & Answers

Have these inca berries ever contained grit or sand?

They're in good condition. They simply didn't taste as fresh or as bright as they should have. The other brand I tried had a citrus flavor that was both fresh and bright.

Goldenberry is a fantastic brand! I like to eat these with walnuts to make them go down a little easier
5/5

I mean, walnuts are super healthy, and eating them on a daily basis is probably the single best thing I've ever done for my health (aside from walking my dog three times a day), but it's like swallowing candle wax chunks. Berries, on the other hand, are difficult because they're so high in sugar; eating them can easily knock you out of keto if that's what you're after, or they're simply too high in carbs if you're just carb conscious in general. These berries taste more like sweet and sour tomatoes than any other berries you've had before. They have the lowest sugar content and the highest fiber content of any berry I've found. Goji berries come in second place, and I eat them as well. Goldenberries, on the other hand, are distinct in a number of ways: They contain compounds known as "withanolides," which are the most beneficial component of ashwaganda root and are being researched for their anti-inflammatory properties. Among other things, there is a cancer effect. They are also an amazing source of mixed carotenoids, similar to tomatoes, with a single serving containing up to 40% of your vitamin A needs per day. They also have a good amount of vitamin C in them. Isn't that fantastic? To say the least, the flavor is unique--the closest thing they taste like are Sweet Tart candies--so they pair well with walnuts because their strong flavor makes them easier to swallow. I'm so fond of them that I bought seeds and am about to plant 30 goldenberry plants in my garden. Give them a shot, and maybe next year you'll be inspired to plant some!.

Fresh
5/5

Golden Inca berries are a new flavor for me. They have a smokey aftertaste and are sweet and sour. Like the seeds of a fig, they are small and inconspicuous. Chewy. Someone mentioned a texture similar to Craisins. Except this time it's softer and more chewy. I'm quite pleased with myself. I'm combining them with other seeds and nuts in my mouth, and I'll buy them again. I usually don't care for yupik's dried fruit, but this one is delicious!.

These aren't quite as tart as fresh ground cherries, but they're a nice change from your standard dried cranberry, and frankly, I prefer them to just about any other dried fruit for snacking
5/5

I'm certain I'll be back. purchase.

Quite sour
4/5

Not at all what I had anticipated. I expected it to be sweet, but it's tangy and sour. It's not what I was expecting, but the flavor is something I've grown accustomed to. I'll stick to just raisons from now on. These are shriveled and not particularly juicy.

Excellent value for money
5/5

I've purchased golden berries from other companies, but this one is by far the best deal. The berries were tender. The flavor is still great, but it's a little more tart now. My purchase has pleased me greatly.
