br>br>The only problem is that they're a little pricey, according to my wife. I caught my wife stealing my Rye-soaked maraschinos from my drink before I bought these! That was a NO-NO, I explained calmly. As a result, she requested that whenever I made a drink, I add a few more. There's no problem, love! I'd also see her eating the maraschino cherries straight from the jar. There's nothing to be concerned about. br>br>And then there are these Luxardos, which are incredibly tasty, sweet, meaty, and Italian! I make an equally delicious Manhattan right away, with a few extra cherries for the wifey. She adores them, which comes as no surprise. So, when I get home from work the next day, I find her eating the damn Luxardos straight from the jar! I explain that they're about $16 per jar and that they're not meant to be eaten as snacks. A minor squabble ensues over how much money was spent on a jar of cherries, etc. br>br>As I mix up my after-work beverage, I calmly explain that a jar will last a long time if only used for garnishing an adult beverage; however, if wifey is snacking on them like popcorn, it's going to get pricey:).
You'll figure out that each of these blighters will set you back about 33 cents. Then you'll wonder why you've been squandering all of your spare change when you could have been eating these instead. Suggestions for pairing: br>br>

What a difference in taste there is. We've been exploring the world of bourbon, whiskey, and other spirits, and have visited a couple of finer establishments that serve Luxardo cherry Old Fashions. Then there were some Old Fashioneds with regular ol' marshino cherries in them. Wow, what a difference there is! We decided that, while they were a lot of fun to have out on the town, they were also a lot of money at $12-$15 each. A drink costs fifteen dollars! I looked online and discovered that we could order these from the comfort of our own homes, and tonight was the night. Here's what we used to make our Old Fashioneds: br>br>

I truly believe I've discovered my new favorite beverage. It's fresh, tasty, has a bit of a bite/burn when you drink it, and it's just plain enjoyable. If you want to make it extra fancy, take some of the rind from an orange and twist it. We didn't have an orange and it was fine without it, but it certainly adds to the presentation factor.
Sure, there are cocktails - However, it can also be served as a dessert or with cheese. Yes, it is costly; however, he** yes, it is worthwhile! These small, dark, whole natural cherries are in syrup that is 75% cherry juice -
These small, dark, whole natural cherries are in syrup that is 75% Exceptionally rich, viscous, and filling. Sweet- tart, almost boozy in flavor, but not harsh or bitter in the least. Although everyone says to use these in cocktails, we keep a jar on hand for desserts and cheese plates. In fact, after a heavy meal, a small bowl of these can be set out with toothpicks and served straight as dessert; people go crazy for them! You can also use it as an ice cream topping (a little goes a long way because it's so concentrated), or pair it with a high-end chocolate for the ultimate decadent treat. Dab some syrup and a single cherry onto a square of high-quality chocolate (we've only tried it with dark). If you like the buttery Gateau Basque cake, these are the Basque wild cherries' closest match (iGourmet, via Amazon). We discovered (. com) - And, with shipping, the price is actually a little less.
A 460 gram (16. 25 oz. ) costs 49 dollars. jar (2 oz. ) They're coated in a thick syrup, just like Luxardos. Luxardos are a tad sweeter in my opinion, but T. J's flavor is closer to that of a cherry. It's possible that Amarena cherries are only available in the late autumn and winter. Because Amarena cherries, like Luxardo cherries, are an Italian product, this could be a one-time occurrence this year (2020). This country was one of the hardest hit by the virus in the spring and early summer, as we may recall. Both of these items could be affected by Trump's irrational tariffs. br>br>If you have access to a Trader Joe's, compare their Amarena cherries to Luxardos.
It is an insult to the Luxardo cherry to refer to any other "maraschino cherry" as such. These little gems are sweet, dark, plump, and syrupy, defying all expectations of what a maraschino cherry is or can be. These will be the stars of your handcrafted cocktails (Hello, MANHATTAN!). ), and the thick, delicious syrup in the jar is just as amazing and useful in your kitchen as the cherries themselves. These are a splurge, to be sure. Yes, you are deserving of your reward. br> br>And wow, what a gift for the cocktail connoisseur in your life. br>br>I'm thinking of baking a brie and topping it with these and toasted almonds. I'd say "I'll update this post to let you know how that goes," but I won't because I promise it'll be fantastic. br>br>ORDER TEN JARS NOW!.
Are you a fan of the Manhattan cocktail? Do you use the best whiskey or bourbon for your whiskey sours? The ideal glass for a refreshing drink? To get the perfect froth on that whiskey sour, use an egg white. Then why ruin it with a mushy blackish stemless cherry drowned in a sickening sweet syrup? br>I'm sorry, but I bought two jars of this stuff. My next purchase will be a RED stemmed cherry that doesn't mush when you bite into it and doesn't detract from the perfect concoction you just mixed. br>Color me dissatisfied, to put it mildly.
I've ordered these cherries before and they're great cherries, some of the best I've ever had, but one of the two bottles I ordered this time had one of the lids that wasn't completely tight, and some of the cherry juice leaked out into the packaging material. Some, but not all, of the juice. I was able to secure the jar's lid after rinsing it. For a product this expensive, you'd think the supplier would take the time to make sure the lids were secure. Unless something changes, I'll be looking for a new supplier to buy these from in the future.
