Questions & Answers

Are these cherries safe to eat? GMO?

No, if they aren't marked and haven't been labeled as non-gmo, they are gmo cherries.

What is the shelf life of these products and how long do they last once opened?

Refer to any "Best By" or "Best Before" labels on the jar for safety precautions. (Such labeling varies depending on when the product was purchased, but it generally indicates a shelf life of about 3 years from the date of purchase.) ) Some jars have labels on the bottom, others have printing on the lid, and still others don't have any labeling at all (in terms of any "best by" date). If stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, you should be able to use these cherries for many years after the "Best By" date has passed. There is no significant risk of food contamination as long as the lid remains dimpled inward. Yes, there may be some taste degradation after the "Best by" date has passed, but there is no risk of contamination if the contents are kept intact (as indicated by an inward dimpled lid). Personally, I wouldn't mind eating these cherries 10 years after they were purchased, as long as the lid was still dimpled inward. Heck, I've made chili with 8-year-old cherries. year-old frozen beef had no ill effects, so I used 8-year-old beef. It should be fine to use preserved cherries from the previous year.

Is it possible that these cherries are Kosher-certified?

There are no Kosher certification symbols on the labels.

Is the cherry black or red, and how big or small is it?

They have a dark appearance. I guess it's not that big. Maraschino cherries are the same size.

A fantastic substitute for the marginal and common maraschino cherry
5/5

Bada Bing cherries are an excellent substitute for the standard maraschino cherry, which is overprocessed, too sweet, and has an unappealing color. However, my favorite cherry is Luxardo's opulent, but pricey, Italian import. I have a "house" cherry with Bada Bings for my daily Manhattan, and I save the Luxardo for special guests and occasions. Bada Bings have a very authentic cherry flavor, and the dark syrup provides the necessary sweetening for a maraschino. My grandson adores Bada Bings, so I give him the privilege of enjoying them while visiting his family and mixing my Manhattans. The price paid for a case lot of Bada Bings is a little more than half of what I pay for Luxardos and less than half of what typical liquor stores charge for If you enjoy mixed drinks that call for a maraschino but don't want to take out a home equity loan to pay for Luxardos, Bada Bings is a great alternative.

It's difficult to have a Manhattan without them
5/5

It's difficult for me to order a Manhattan in a restaurant because I'm so picky about them. They don't seem to hit the mark very often. I make mine with a good heavy rocks glass, a big square ice cube, barrel aged bourbon bitters, 4 oz of Bullet Rye, 1/2 oz of Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, and two Bada Bing cherries on a wood skewer with a little bit of the juice; without the Bada Bings, it's just not the same. They're difficult to come by in stores, and even when my wife does, they're cheaper on Amazon, so please don't sell the four-packs.

Someone has figured out how to properly package and ship this product
5/5

People who are familiar with Tillen Farms' Maraschino cherries know that they are far superior to supermarket Maraschino cherries. Whether or not Bada Bings are worth the money is, without a doubt, a personal decision. Because these are costly, the quality of the shipping packaging for this four-glass-bottle order was critical. The application of bubble-wrap The packaging was effective, and the box used was the ideal size; the contents were completely undamaged, despite the box showing signs of rough handling during transit. And, unlike many Amazon purchases, I didn't feel like I'd doubled my "carbon footprint" or added insult to injury to our already overburdened climate. The evening cocktail becomes a true party in a glass with the addition of these cherries.

"Bada Bings" are the best, and I was just telling a friend about how I make them after switching from Bombay Sapphire Martinis to Manhattans
5/5

She told me I should use "Bada Bing" cherries instead of maraschino cherries when I told her I was using maraschino cherries. Was she ever correct? The only problem is that I can't fit one in my Manhattan; I need two. I just checked them out at Total Wine, and the same bottle I bought on Amazon for a box of four costs $5. Total Wine is $8 and costs $78 per bottle. The bottle costs $99 each. I've only been drinking Manhattans since September, and I'm on my tenth jar of "Bada Bings. " The Manhattan is enhanced by a small teaspoon of juice.

That's fantastic! These are absolutely fantastic! They have a deep, full, authentic bing cherry flavor that is tart and sweet in equal measure
5/5

Also stunning is the dark color. This isn't the maraschino you're looking for if you want traditional almond flavoring, thick syrup, and confection sweetness. This is a mature audience. a spruced-up version of a cherry that has already been prepared It has a ripe fruit flavor that won't compete with your favorite dessert. Recipes for shelf-stable mixed drinks These babies don't taste like cough medicine or almonds. Cherry on top. It also has a wonderful texture. Plump and firm.

Normally, an off-the-beaten-path I wouldn't have bought a case of ordinary maraschino cherries if I hadn't been a brand buyer
5/5

I would not have purchased a case of maraschino cherries in the first place. But these are the best, and I was certain I'd use all four of them- and soon. Despite the fact that they are Bing cherries, they are not particularly sour. Not a fake bright red, but a true maroon-colored maroon-colored maroon-colored maroon-colored maroon- enough to add a splash of color to your cocktail I admire this company's commitment to their product, which is evident in its high quality. The cherries are juicy and flavorful, with a fresh plump chew. I understand the price is double that of the regular maraschino competitor, but as a thrifty shopper, I'll say I'll buy these again. It was well worth the effort.

I was worried about breakage during shipment, but they were nicely packaged and arrived intact
5/5

These are my favorite cherries for Manhattans, and the local Total Wine is frequently out of them, so I was very pleased to stock up on them, even sharing a couple bottles with my son, for a great price.

Manhattans will love it
5/5

My husband has recently started making Manhattans for us on Saturday afternoons, and we've been hooked ever since we discovered these cherries. There's no comparison to the bright red Marashino cherries you can buy in the store, and they're a lot less expensive than the even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more expensive even more more- Griottines (also Morellos, but usually soaked in kirsch) are gourmet imported Italian Morello/Amarena cherries or the French Griottines (also Morellos, but usually soaked in kirsch). ) The flavor is thick, syrupy, and intense, just the way I like it after a good meal. cocktail that has been prepared
