Luxardo Maraschino are dark cherries that can be found in a variety of handcrafted gourmet cocktails. They're delectable, and the syrup is opulent. I haven't yet cracked open the Woodford cherries. However, I've seen them listed in some high-end cocktails as well.

If you're looking for a delicious adult mixed drink, this is the one to go for. Keep the Woodfords in your sights.
My Manhattans have never tasted so good. Not everyone will appreciate the slight flavor change in a drink because it is slightly sweet/bitter. The Woodford cherries are merely passable. I wouldn't spend the money on them again; I'd rather make my own marinade.
Luxardo cherries lived up to our expectations and were identical to what we had previously purchased. The flavor of the wood Ford reserve was bland, and the juice was runny. There were stems on the cherries. br>br>The two products are completely different, and because they were grouped together, I expected the quality of the wood Ford reserve to be comparable to that of the luxardo. While it's flavorful, it can be overpowering if you prefer your Manhattans dry. The Woodfords, on the other hand, were just right. For the time being, we'll go with them.
I only gave 3 stars because I didn't like the Woodford, but that is not the shipper's fault; it was my fault for thinking there might be something better than Luxardos. There is nothing better, in my opinion, so far. I opened the Woodford first, because I was familiar with the Luxardo. I'm not a fan. Then I put one in each of my Manhattan glasses. I waited until the very end and bit into the cherry, only to be disappointed. I found it to be very bland, with no discernible bourbon flavor. It also lacked the luscious snap and succulence of Luxardos. I knew I'd never use them, so I had to accept the fact that they were a waste of money. Luxardos are genuine Italian Maraschinos who still reign supreme. I'm not sure I'd use them on desserts because they're so expensive, but they're perfect for a Manhattan.
To begin, we use Luxardo cherries in our cocktails. They are delicious right out of the jar. They're elevated by a marinade of Luxardo cherry liqueur. The Bourbon cherries disappointed me. br>br>I had high hopes for them. The cherries were too sweet for anything other than a sundae, and there was no bourbon in sight. To make them more cocktail-like, I dumped half of the syrup and replaced it with bourbon. Let's see if that makes a difference. br>br>Because it came as a set, my ratings are split between the two.
