To add depth to the flavor, sour cherries can be used
5/5

My new favorite amerena cherry, I believe, has been discovered! These Italian wild cherries in syrup are sold under two different brands. Fabbri (blue) Fabbri (blue) Fabbri Fabbri Fabbri Fabbri white) as well as these The main difference is that Toschi uses sour/tart cherries while Fabbri uses sweet black cherries. The sour appeals to me because it adds a layer of complexity to the flavor profile, which is particularly useful in cocktails. I'll use both in the future, but for different reasons.

I'm still on the lookout for the ideal cocktail garnish
4/5

I've been using Luxardo cherries for quite some time, and as my current jar is about to run out, I've decided to branch out. Amerrna Toschi is the protagonist of this story. br>br>They are slightly less expensive, but not by much. br>br>If you're into that sort of thing, the jar is kind of cute. br>In terms of flavor, these are excellent - The Luxardos are a little sweeter. I like the Luxardo flavor a little bit better, but not by much. The size and texture of the individual cherries make a significant difference. br>br> br>These are a lot bigger than Luxardos and have a much nicer texture, in my opinion. Luxardo cherries have never been a favorite of mine - I just can't wrap my head around a cherry that is almost crisp in texture. The Toschis have the size and texture of a cherry, which I like. br>br>I'm still looking for the perfect texture and flavor combination, but I'm happy enough with them that I'd buy them again.

I've been using them to make Manhattans, and the distinct black cherry flavor is incredible
5/5

This is a luxurious experience that is well worth the money. I got a lot more than I expected- in terms of quantity as well as quality This jar is much larger than it appears, and it is of excellent quality. I've been using them to make Manhattans, and the distinct black cherry flavor is incredible. This is a true indulgence that is well worth the investment.

Cherry in flavor
5/5

I like this product with ice cream or as a toast jelly because the flavor is intensely cherry and the liquid is thicker than most cherry products, which I prefer. I bought a second one because the flavor does not resemble some cherry products that taste like cough syrup. I only use mine for "special" treats because of the price.

Ugh! It's impossible to put into words how bad these taste; they're not even close to being cherry
3/5

They're not sweet, and I'm not sure if they're sour, bitter, or something else. br>br>I wanted to use them in a cake recipe that calls for them, but I'm using something else instead. a different- I'd say it tastes like cough syrup, but it's not that good. br>br>I'd say it tastes like cough syrup, but it isn't that good.

The cherries were delicious, but they were small and didn't last long in the refrigerator
3/5

These are the classic ones, but I found them to be on the small side; they have a tasty, thick syrup in them that you can use for other things, but Trader Joe's version of this style is far superior - Larger, more juice, and a better texture The syrup also turned a horrible gray color a week after being opened and kept in the fridge. These are simply not worth the money in my opinion.

Cherries of poor quality
3/5

Many of the cherries are damaged because they are too small. Squished, deformed, or torn in half is what I mean by "damaged. " Also, the syrup crystalizes when refrigerated, and when warmed up, it tastes terrible. I'll be sticking to Luxardo from now on. Both in terms of taste and quality, they are far superior.

This is a poor shipping method
3/5

They botched the bubble wrap job that was supposed to protect the glass jar. There are better ways, and this is evidence that the current method is ineffective. It was dripping all over my porch when it arrived. The whole thing is a disaster.
