The water must be heated for at least 20 minutes before the cloth can be softened. In fact, you can use them as they are in soup or other cooking as long as you have enough liquid. There is a considerable amount of additional salt added to your dish, and I mean a considerable amount. If I want to do anything else before I use them, I put them in warm water, then change the water after 5 minutes, and then if there is still time, I change the water again to get rid of the salt. To cook them it only takes 2-3 minutes. To have them chewier what I like, soak them 5 minutes or less if they are well soaked.

One of the best products I have bought in the past year is this product. The bag contains a large quantity of semi-solids Bean curd sticks that have been dehydrated. I love the smell of fresh flowers. It is recommended to soak the salt for three minutes It is not necessary to wait 4 hours but 30 minutes is sufficient. Those soften considerably after a few minutes and can be used in virtually any dish of your choice afterwards. I made a light peanut/chili crisp sauce that went well with them. A stir fry with this dish would be absolutely delicious. There is a lot of umami and no off taste to it. Nutritionally speaking, it contains a lot of protein, moderate fat and very few net carbs (total carbs minus fiber).
