Keep an eye out for the ingredients. I used these to make Manhattan clam chowder, but I failed to read the ingredients because I assumed they would only contain clams and possibly some salt. I make a lot of soup from scratch, and it's a labor-intensive process. a time-consuming procedure that necessitates the use of a large quantity of fresh, expensive produce I tasted the soup after adding three cans of these clams and letting it simmer for an hour or so, and I was surprised by how sweet it was—despite the fact that I hadn't added any sugar. absurd . EW! Clams with sugar. Those aren't the Snow's clams, which Fred Snow used to can in Scarborough, Maine, as some of us recall. (Before Bordens, Kraft, and Bumblebee purchased the trademark).
