It's impossible to know until you get it. You can expect/demand that it be fresh and not past its "best by" date, but no one is picking tuna packets off the shelf while reading your question in the warehouse. br>br>The date differs from packet to packet, batch to batch, and there are undoubtedly multiple batches in the warehouse. br>John Johnston's response was right on the money.

REALLY FAST and EASY, and it helps me get more protein in my diet (while also tasting delicious)! If you enjoy tuna and are frequently on the go, these tuna pouches might be ideal for you. For a delicious and filling meal, we usually bring one pouch per person, a couple packets of mayonnaise (also from Amazon), and a carton of crackers. Simply pour the mayonnaise into the pouch, stir it up, and scoop it out. There's no need for additional items such as a bowl or plate; all you'll need is a fork or spoon! If you're a fan of rice and Korean roasted seaweed, they're also delicious together. It's also great for international travel when you want to make sure you have some familiar or "safe" foods with you. They're slim and spill-proof. They don't need to be refrigerated or heated, and they're also freezer-proof. And I only use subscribe and save when the pouches are under $1.
This is our favorite and most preferred tuna in a pouch brand. All others taste bland in comparison, even the cat can tell. When I open a Starkist, Great Value, or Chicken of the Sea pouch, he usually doesn't notice; however, when I tear into one of these, he's at my feet looking for his 'cut' of the good stuff. It has a fishy aroma and flavor, with just a smidgeon of moisture to keep it from being too dry. However, the price varies greatly, from around $12 to over $20 per box, which is ridiculous. We try to stock up when the price is low, and I won't buy it if it's too expensive. It's just not logical to spend that much money on something I found in a dollar store the first time. If we have to buy another brand, we prefer to use it in cooking, such as helpers and casseroles with other flavors to mask the blandness, which my daughter will eat right out of the pouch with just a fork.
I loved the "other brand" of chunk light tuna when I was a kid. My wife wanted to cut down on our salt intake (rolls eyes), so we used to get the reduced sodium version of the other brand. They were out of stock at the store, so we bought this instead, which has less salt than the reduced sodium version of the other brand. br>br>Somehow, this brand of tuna tastes better to me. It appears odd, because it's all tuna, right? Right? In any case, this is now my favorite tuna!.
And it's Bumblebee, which we all know is a good brand, so I'm more interested in the packaging than the fish. br>br>These flexible pouches are much better for the environment than liquid-filled cans - Making or transporting them requires less fuel. There's just enough tuna in this pouch for a one- or two-person sandwich or salad, with no liquid to drain. br>br>Although I work from home, I believe these would be equally useful if you had to eat in the office on a busy day. I always have a dozen of these pouches on hand for a protein-rich no-cook lunch. Simply open a couple of pouches if you want to make a large tuna casserole. Even if it takes longer than opening a can, it will still be quicker. br>br>I also think the flavor is more fresh than canned tuna, but that could just be because the speed and convenience got me to the table faster and in a better mood.

Okay, I eat tuna almost every day, but I'm picky about it (I despise tuna, and I'm trying to eat healthier). Starkist tuna gives me the creeps. In my experience, I seem to uncover a plethora of small mysteries within it. Little black specks, definite skin fragments. This is much better, though one package did contain a small bone. But, to be honest, the best is chicken of the sea, which always looks pristine and tastes as good as tuna can. The bumblebee is the most affordable of the three, but I think Chicken of the Sea is worth the extra money.

Simply open the package, spread your ingredients, and your sandwich is ready to eat, or add it to a leafy salad. Both methods work well, and the flavor is delicious. The fact that the packs are portioned out makes things easier. I also brought a few packages on vacation with me, and they came in handy when we didn't want to leave the beech to eat. Without ever getting out of bed, I made a quick sandwich and basked in the sun.
