To be honest, I'm not sure, but based on my experience, I'd say cold water because of the flavor and firmness of the meat when cooked. I was under the impression that the website mentioned whether it was cold or hot. It's been a long time since I made a purchase. I won't order it again because it was inedible the first time.
Six tails were found, but only four were found. 5 oz
Our lobsters were mushy when we cooked them. We discovered that this frequently occurs when they have not been properly cared for or are simply elderly. Rather than risking it, we tossed them all.

Only one lobster out of four was edible. They were all mushy and thrown away because I couldn't eat them. I would strongly advise against using them. It's a real pity that I'm forced to write this review. Only one of these could be eaten because they were all cooked at the same temperature in the same pan.
More purchases are being made. It had a wonderful flavor. br>Arrived frozen and properly packaged. br>Excellent quality throughout, from packaging to delivery to taste. br>Ordered four. There were two of each in sealed plastic bags filled with dry ice. br>The first order was as follows: Ordered once more for a total of 180. Ordered six tails; two arrived with no dry ice, were not frozen, were spoiled, and smelled awful. It took ten days for my order to arrive, and I will not order again in the future. I'm hoping I'll be able to get some money back.
What a wonderful bunch of people. My delivery was messed up by the shipping company, and these guys did the best job I've ever seen. They went out of their way to make sure I got replacements as soon as possible and were extremely patient and helpful over the phone. br>br>As for the tails, they are as follows: They arrived completely frozen, with plenty of dry ice in the box, and they appear to be enormous. br>br>I put them in a ziplock bag and put them in warm (not hot) water for 30 minutes to thaw them. br>Place them on the grill for a few minutes with a garlic butter sauce, then roll them over, wait a few minutes, then remove them and enjoy tender, sweet lobster tail. br>br>I would advise people to contact Maine Lobster Now if they have any problems, because some of these reviews are obviously false. They were wonderful to work with as we shipped from Maine to California. When you call them, remember to be courteous: They're extremely pleasant individuals. I can't emphasize how important that is.
It took me about 21 hours to get from Maine to my front door in Nebraska, which is impressive considering it was still frozen solid. I'm not going to eat these for a month or two, so they're at the bottom of my - Chest freezer set to 25 degrees. The 5 to 6 oz. was what I ordered. I repackaged them in individual vacuum bags and weighed each one during the process of repackaging them in individual vacuum bags at Christmas time, and they were good. Were supposed to weigh between 6 and 7 ounces. The smallest weighed in at 7 1/4 oz. , with the largest weighing just over 8 ounces. I usually thaw them out, split them in half, and then grill them. I'll be overjoyed if they're as good as the ones I had at Christmas. (I have no reason to believe they will not be as good as the last time I ordered from them. ).
First and foremost, the delivery went off without a hitch, and everyone was ecstatic when the lobsters arrived ahead of schedule. Bring out the pot and start steaming the water. Sit down to enjoy your meal once it's finished cooking and the butter has been drawn. When you open the lobster, you'll see all of this green stuff inside the tail, along with dark green pellets (what the heck!). l) That one was thrown away. It was delicious when I opened the second one. I can't speak for the other lobsters I have, but I'm wondering if one of them is filled with something green. I'll give three stars because I'm not sure how the rest will turn out; however, one inedible lobster is enough to earn three stars, because if I were having a gathering, no one would show up.
When I opened the box, I was mortified to discover that the lobsters had been defrosted and did not come with a dry ice packet. They didn't have an odor, so I assumed they were fine, but I had to cook them right away, which was not what I had planned. They tasted great, but I was disappointed that they weren't frozen like they said they would be.
At $109, it's both quick and inexpensive. SHIPPING FOR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
