It tastes like liver pate should because we have tried many different US brands but they all turned out to be disappointing As we remember, this is the one we grew up with. One star was taken away due to the presence of sodium nitrite in the broth. A pink color would be nice, but we don't need it. * * *P. Because of this, I took away one star. This product has been delivered to me a few times now and I have never had any problems. The can had infiltrated air, as you were able to push the top up and down and test it. I just had an order deliver today of two cans, one of which was damaged to the point that the top was able to be pushed up and down. As you might have guessed, I threw it out. For a product at this price, the quality is not great. While the cost of these small containers is not terribly high, they are also not cheap enough to just throw them away when they get When sandwiched between crusty bread and olive oil with tomato, the flavor is pleasantly tangy. Remember that you get what you pay for, so if you expect $100 to be foi gras style material, be prepared for disappointment. Thanks a lot.

I am in love with this From my time in Europe, it is the way I remember it. Taste is great, and I like that we can get it here in the US, too. Also, I like that Amazon now sells it. I love it.
A little bit. I thought the quality was adequate for the price. It was obviously not as good as the real, fresh deal but it was fine nonetheless. You can make this pate in a pinch if you're one of those people who are hankering after a nice pate but aren't up to going to a restaurant. It took two weeks (despite listing it as a prime item) for it to reach me and I would be happy to purchase it again.
A friend recommended this book to me, and it was quite decent. I would definitely recommend it for camping and hiking.
I have had much better, but for the price they are hard to beat. Unless you're one of those odd ducks who always has a craving for pate, you should try it.
