Several of the brand names of Sustainable Seas and Wild Planet are they owned and operated by the same ?

Among Sustainable Seas and Wild Planet Foods, there is a sister company. We started Sustainable Seas to serve customers sustainably caught seafood at a cheaper price.

In all of Sustainable Seas' products, BPA isn't intentionally added to the cans.

Can you tell me about the tuna's origins?

Pole and line caught tuna is now processed in Thailand for Sustainable Seas, although it was caught in the North Pacific. This is not ground up tuna like the ones in the store that are grown on a farm and then processed with soy. There are only water and sea salt. There is absolutely no use for add-ons in this. This is pure fish and looks like fish when you remove it from Rather than start from scratch, it is an updated version. In the past, I have never tasted fishy when eating this tuna. It has always been delicious and I have never had any problems with it.

The salt content of ?

In one 5 oz can of Sustainable Seas Chunk Light Tuna, 210 mg of sodium is present.

There are several perks to this product, such as my cat loves it and it's cheaper than using regular cat food! (It is a bit difficult to open
5/5

Thanks. I used to get my cat Reveal tuna fillets in fish broth, but it appears to have been discontinued, as it's not in any stores anymore. This is what I found! Due to its philosophy of sustainability and its ingredients, Skipjack tuna (lowest in mercury) and water (no salt added), I was attracted to this product. Moreover, I liked the fact that its meant for human consumption, so even if my cat threw it away, I could still eat it. As a matter of fact, it is a few dollars cheaper than That's what I did and now my cat is in love with Despite having a dry formula that has the necessary vitamins and nutrients, I can only give her one can per day spaced out throughout the day, kind of like a treat. In addition to getting more protein and water, she is now getting more fiber in her diet which is important to her health since she has been getting constipated and I don't have a problem anymore! Please note While it is a little difficult to open, I like the way the can has a tab, which keeps the tuna fresh longer. Thanks a lot!.

A mistake has been made in the label information
3/5

Although I purchased this item due to the low sodium content, there is a mistake in the product description. It indicates that my "no salt added" product has 125mg of sodium on the label. (I recognize the serving size is different, but even a 6 oz serving would have 50mg according to the description, which is still a lot A very frustrating experience.

Can't use our cans because of safety concerns You can get food poisoning from metal tastes
3/5

The batch we had may have been the only one. It looked like a beautiful tuna - All of my family got sick after eating a small amount of the food. It tasted good, but it had an odd metallic taste. I think under normal circumstances this would be an excellent product. We may have just been unfortunate in our circumstances and it might be one of those things. The can we opened, however, had a really bad smell to it.

Fish from sustainable seas chunks light tuna
5/5

Tuna this tasty is hard to find these days. The product was found when I was looking for albacore, but there was no sustainable albacore available in my area, so I thought I'd give it a try and will probably buy it I like this tuna salad because it has that tuna taste that I like in tuna salad but not too much fishy flavor. It is great to be able to help.

I enjoyed this product very much
5/5

It was well packaged and tasted good. As good as any canned tuna that I have ever had, I would say. From now on, this is going to be our regular tuna. A lot of things were packed tightly. Albacore is not quite as solid or as tight as it could be My hands were too full to shake it out of the can, so I had to use a fork to pry it loose. Printed on this label is the word "skipjack light tuna (katsuomus pelamus)" along with the color pink and pinkish. There is a taste problem for me with tuna containing vegetable broth or sodium pyrophosphate, and I have been paying at least $4 per can of It is my hope that the "sustainable" and "pole and line caught" claim is true, but for me, that is not the primary reason why I have chosen this product.

The one thing I was hoping I would like was I have to say, this doesn't taste very I don't like the smell of tuna and the taste is off-putting
3/5

There's no taste of tuna in my mouth There's a problem with the internet A taste that is not the same as One other review mentioned taste, but it was discounted. It would have been four stars if it hadn't been for the poor network connection. Hence, for someone who enjoys the taste of tuna, I believe there is a good deal here. The number of recommendations alone led me to buy this product- The same lesson was learned a second time. You should try a can before you decide to buy it. As the cats enjoy it, I am not totally out of luck.

It is much higher than advertised in terms of sodium content
3/5

On-line, it is available as a 25mg sodium tablet without the daily value. 125 mg of sodium is found in the cans, which has 5% of the Daily Value. The amount of sodium is five times greater. The non-profit sector shouldn't be overlooked either Can be refunded. The caveat emptor principle applies.
