I understand that truffles are pricey, but $50 for 8 ounces of pasta, a small bottle of truffle oil, and a shaker of truffle zest seems a little excessive. My wife and I purchased this to prepare a special dinner at home with a couple of nice steaks and baby asparagus (both cooked with truffle oil and zest). We felt like it was pretty close to what we could have had at a nice restaurant after we were done, but that we would have paid less eating out (and gotten complimentary bread!). br>br>The pasta is tasty, and it cooks to al dente in the time specified on the bag (which is a bit of a surprise for a gluten-free pasta). Pasta is provided for free. The texture is nice, and it held up well to a simple oil/pasta water/Pecorino Romano sauce. The oil contains truffle flakes, which is more than I can say for most supermarket oils. The zest is the real gem here, and I'm going to use it on popcorn for a long time (especially since we bought two boxes). With a flavor that electrifies the tongue and pairs well with everything from pasta to ice cream, it truly lives up to the term "zest. " br>br>The only reason I can't give it a higher rating is because of the astronomical price; for half the price (or even 3/4! ), I'd give it a higher rating. ) Under a 5-star rating, I'd be praising it. a rating of five stars.
This package's best feature is the truffle zest! My mouth began to water as I opened it to take a sniff. I also made an ultimate truffle night with truffle pasta carbonara, truffle zest, and truffle oil, which was incredible. When I run out of truffle zest (which will happen quickly at my current rate of use), I'll have to order more.
a smidgeon of posh pasta? Only buy it if it's on sale ($25 or less), in my opinion. The pasta has a faint aroma to it, and it is unquestionably superior to store-bought pasta. The truffle zest is unquestionably the star of the show, delicious as a garnish or tossed into your daily stir-fry. The white truffle oil is especially good on salads as a substitute for olive oil. Because the amount of pasta you get is only enough for one date night, the retail price ($50) isn't so bad. Not to mention the fact that you'd have to buy more ingredients to go with the pasta. Overall, it's a nice little gift set because the packaging is neat and tidy, ensuring that nothing is damaged.
date. Examine your experience level. On a certain date, I noticed that the oil had gone rancid and that the exp. Something this expensive shouldn't be on the verge of going bad with only four months to go. To me, it tastes like a mixture of black garlic and soy sauce. If you can find it on sale for a low price, I wouldn't pay as much for it.
The pasta is excellent as well.
Purchased as a gift for the parents of my girlfriend. They'll probably enjoy it, in my opinion. Loading information is updated.
This was something I tried at a friend's house, and it was awful. I'm going to puke if I hear one more thing I need to buy because of Oprah.
