You can't get any better than this
4/5

For several years, I've been receiving these, as well as similar products from other vendors. The ones you can buy online are the most important standard of comparison for me, because my only other option is to drive 60 miles and eat alone in a restaurant, which is not an exciting prospect, and these are not only the best of the bunch, but also do very well by the standards of quite good restaurants from the days before widowerhood, if there is such a thing. I've had something similar in Legal Sea Foods, and the chains like Seafood Peddler and Red Lobster - The pastry is just as good, and the meat is on par. Of course, a calibrated oven thermometer is required, as even the most expensive wall ovens, let alone most countertop ovens, are frequently ten or more degrees off. Also, you must strictly adhere to the timing instructions, which must be adjusted for altitude (I'm over 1000 feet above sea level, so cooking time is slightly reduced). Otherwise, the juice will boil over, wasting it, or the pastry will not set. br>br>As a result, they're a treat, especially now that CostCo has stopped carrying them; However, if there is no other way to obtain 'Lobster Wellington,' the fact that they are expensive per pound is irrelevant. Also, the fact that each serving is only 5 ounces is a plus for me because I don't need any more and don't want to be tempted.

YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM These lobster pot pies were a hit with me
4/5

There is a lot of lobster. The broth is delicious. Puff pastry of excellent quality. These are something I would buy again. However, there is a little too much broth in this dish, and it is also a little too thin. I used a spoon to get the rest of the brother after finishing the pie, which tasted like a thin lobster bisque. Also, I wish the lobster pies came in individual packages. If you live alone, you might not want to make two pies at once, but overall, this is a superior product that I would order again.

Mother's Day wishes to all the mothers out there
4/5

These pot pies were a hit with the family. They arrived on Mother's Day, which was a pleasant surprise. The dry ice had dissipated, and the pastry tops had become a little soggy. However, I put two of them in the freezer and took them out a few days later. I didn't realize they needed to defrost overnight, so I could have just put them in the refrigerator instead of the freezer. But they were delicious, and I'll be ordering them again for a special occasion.

Good quality product with a generous amount of lobster for the size of the portion

It's almost like being in Maine, and it's served in lovely ceramic bowls.

It's acceptable, but not outstanding
3/5

I was really looking forward to trying these, and at almost $75 for four, I figured they had to be incredible. Unfortunately, they were not. I followed the package directions for cooking them, but the crust did not puff up as much as it should have. In addition, unlike chicken pot pie (which I adore), the lobster claw meat and a thin soupy sauce were the only ingredients in these. Unlike chick pot pie, there are no vegetables or other fillers to fill in the gaps between the lobsters. They should be stuffing it with lobster meat with that much empty space, but they aren't. Overall, I'm glad I gave these pot pies a chance, but I won't be buying them from this company again. Instead, I'm going to try lobster bisque or something else, or I'll save my money and go to one of the many local seafood restaurants.

It's cute, but not exquisite, and living in the desert means you don't get to eat good seafood very often
3/5

I've come up with a theory: Lobsters cannot fly because they lack the ability to fly. As a result, even live ones don't taste like 'lobster' in this environment. These pot pies were $35 for a box of four cute pot pies with puff pastry lobster outlines on top, which I found at Costco. I reasoned that these lobsters didn't need to fly to be 'prepared,' and that they might be tasty. No luck. I'm not saying they're terrible, but they're not worth $9 for five. 2 oz. per serving While some people prefer claw meat, I didn't care for it because it lacked flavor. There were a couple of non-essentials in there. claw meat was the closest thing I could find. However, no such luck. In general, a good effort. The presentation and puff pastry were both excellent. These, on the other hand, will only satisfy a small portion of your craving for lobster's sweet and distinct flavor. Save your money for a trip to a real fresh seafood restaurant where the lobsters don't have frequent flyer miles.

This is a fantastic small treat

The lobster pot pies were a hit with everyone, and some of my guests wanted to know how to order them right away. br>br>Based on a positive first impression, I anticipate ordering the same item, as well as others from the company.
