someone who was once in that position It is probably the most important food that makes Pat miss pie, chips, and peas, so I bought this hoping that it would satisfy her needs. It did not have a happy ending. Is there a moment where I was transported back to my childhood when I was reminded of tastes and smells? The answer is yes. Sadly, they were overshadowed by the realization that I was eating a soggy gravy mess from a can more often than not. Despite what some say (and I really am not a food snob), I'm not a fan of meat in a can unless it had been swimming as it was being processed This might be a good fit for you if you are. I would advise that if like me, you expected something similar to what you would get from a chip shop on a late Friday night, this would not be br>How nice it is to finally try it out -- If I were to try it again, I would say yes. You must realize that it is in a can, so the quality has to be compromised. However, it tastes good despite this limitation. I love how this tastes like the pre-made meat and gravy you get at the grocery store refrigerated section, topped with a frozen pastry crust. As a result of reading this, I get a better idea of what Harry Potter ate by the words he "made his way steadily through the steak and kidney pie. ". The people in my family dislike HP products, but they don't know anything about it (they aren't HP fans like me). I received the product exactly on the estimated delivery date, which was 24 days after I ordered it.

However, there does not seem to have been any pie filling inside because the crust was very good, the gravy was tasty, but they did not include the contents. There was no crust or gravy on this pie and for the price it was a complete ripoff. This product certainly does not say steak and kidney pie, as implied by the manufacturer.
I enjoyed the product because the taste was identical to the one we ate back home in the US. There were no problems with the cooking, and the pastry was excellent.
Due to my UK roots I know what a good steak and kidney pie is, and this was not one of them. The gravy is very thick and paste-like and there is no steak or kidney to speak of. That's even worse than the taste. It's a waste of money to spend it on this rubbish.
A lot less impressive than the original. I just thought it was okay.
