This is the first time I've encountered a similar issue. Though there is a robust odor, I would not describe it as musty. I cannot imagine why the room would be damp inside, so I'd say that this is out of the ordinary.

As if buying salami on Amazon wasn't enough for me. There were two rancid, stinking, moldy salamis on the table. It seems to me that they are inedible and have either been bad from the beginning or been stored in the hot place for a long time. Furthermore, it is not a dry salami at all.
