I suggest you purchase this Columbus salami which we have found to be the best salami we have Our family grew up eating salami, so we are Italian and grew up on it. It can be kept out for a week, but we have left it out for 2 As soon as you slice it, the salami will become dry, so if you are traveling, resist the temptation to slice it. In your luggage it will be fine, but it would be a good idea to put it in a refrigerator as you travel from hotel to hotel. That has to be eaten for us to be able to do that, so eat I haven't experimented with it to see how long it will last, but it might be able to last quite a while.
I believe that nitrates and nitrites are the culprits. Observe, however, that they are low in concentration, since I do not taste them. I just wanted to let you know that this is the best tasting one I have tried. Although it is rarely possible to remove the casing, its performance is still good when it is present. There is no better salami to try if you are a salami connoisseur.

Secchi salame is one of my favorite deli items on the Although I was pleased to see the item on Amazon and was ready to pay higher price, I changed my mind after three or four deliveries. As hard as a rock, Salame was. As a self-defense weapon, it could be used by me. I will not be accepting any more orders.
I agree! It has the same style as the ones I used to buy at Trader Joe's in Los Angeles. I haven't seen it in stores (plus I don't want to wait in those lines), so I am looking for the closest thing to it. As a side note, I live in downtown Los Angeles and received it on August 10, 2021, in case that is of interest to you, too. Although it took well over a week to get here, the transit time ended up being only 36 hours. It reached me in great condition today, even though the high was 90 degrees.
It smelled exactly like you'd expect. It is inedible. The smell was so foul that I wasn't even able to throw it in the kitchen trash.

In the days when I was young, my mother bought Salame for me. They are just like the ones we got back in Chicago so try them if you get a chance they are wonderful. She had to go to Chicago and get it and it was the best.

This is what I used to get from my local gourmet deli, but they no longer carry it. The only place I can find them is on Amazon! There is nothing like this flavorful salami that I have ever tasted. As a foodie, I am always on the lookout for fresh ingredients and the fact that I was able to locate this salami online when I couldn't find it anywhere else is a testament to that.
The taste is great and they are good to eat but are not so healthy.
