Selected User Reviews For Buitoni Fettuccine, Refrigerated Pasta Noodles, 9 oz Package
This was fantastic! Dinner was fettuccine with salmon alfredo sauce. BEWARE: Two large eaters and four moderate eaters could be fed from a single package. Because they're not "dried fettuccine," you don't realize how much they'll expand in boiling water when they're still in the package. They do expand, and the 2 minute cooking time specified on the package is insufficient to fully cook them. We like our pasta al dente, but undercooked pasta is still undercooked pasta. Just putting it out there. I'm going to buy them again. They had a delicious flavor! That dried pasta had a lot less flavor depth to it.
When it comes to pasta, I have a lot of preferences. br>br>I have a friend who has been wanting to try fresh pasta for a long time, but pasta is widely misunderstood in America, and many people don't seem to realize that fresh pasta serves a specific purpose. br>br>And that purpose isn't to make a hearty meat sauce. Although you can't get "al dente" with fresh pasta, I have to say that the alfredo I made with this fettucine was delicious. br>br>I used a pasta spoon to remove the cooked pasta from the water after boiling it for about two minutes. I tossed it in a bowl with some homemade garlic butter and tossed it thoroughly. I topped it with fresh parmesan (parmigiano reggiano was out of my price range, so I had to make do with Wisconsin parmesan) and freshly ground peppercorns. This dish had a wonderful texture to it. The pasta was a little softer than I'd normally consider "acceptable," but it went perfectly with the delicate garlic butter sauce. br>br>This was some excellent material. It's a great place to start if you've never tried fresh pasta before.
It's the 5th of August, and it's already been a long week Thankfully, I have fettuccini noodles in a box, but dinner will be late, and both my children and I are hungry!.
To go with it, I bought some Buitoni sauce. I added my own ingredients to the sauce to make it my own. Basil, oregano, and sugar are all ingredients in this Lambrusco wine. This was fantastic! I made two packages because they appeared to be small, but they cook up to be quite large! I'll make just one package of pasta and one sauce next time. We're not going to eat any more boxed pasta. Never again, please! This is an opportunity not to be missed.
This is by far the best, most flavorful pasta I've ever tasted. It is fantastic. It cooks quickly, fills you up, and goes well with any sauce or plain butter, EVOO, and shredded Parmesan cheese. Make your own decisions.
Someone messed with my spaghetti.
These are delicious and simple to make. I prefer this to boxed dry pasta, which I now only use as a last resort if I don't have fresh pasta on hand. These keep in the fridge for a few weeks and are great for last-minute dinners.
