In addition, I've discovered that adding one of the servings from the previous batch to the current batch works well. This method produces firm tofu with no clear liquid on top. For a little extra sweetness, I added a heaping teaspoon of stevia. My husband likes to add our home made jam from a wild blueberry bush we have, but I prefer it plain with some uncooked oats. It's delicious either way.
The way this package arrived dissatisfied me. These orders are usually delivered in an inner box that is tightly enclosed around the soymilk boxes and surrounded by an outer box. It was strange that this package contained the latter but not the former. Furthermore, I was fairly certain that I ordered the plain flavor, but what arrived was vanilla. Finally, and most importantly, at least two of the soymilk cartons were damaged and spilled milk into the box. Several other cartons in the box were smashed or dented, but none of them leaked. Only a few of them were in decent shape. In general, I was dissatisfied with the order's quality. I had to get down on my hands and knees for several minutes to clean up the sticky liquid that had spilled onto my floor.
Given the current soy bean shortage, I was overjoyed to be able to locate and order this, one of my two favorite organic soy milk brands. Many brands contain added sugar or aren't certified organic. I don't want anything with added sugar, and I want a lot of protein. Organic, non-gmo, and other criteria are also important to me, both for the environment and my own health, and this is one of only two brands I'm aware of that meet those requirements. When I have to deal with a third party, I am always skeptical, but this transaction went off without a hitch. The best by date is 10 months from now, which is comparable to or better than what I find on store shelves. Right now, it's difficult to make an assessment of the price; Prices appear to be all over the place due to the shortages, but given the circumstances, I'm not complaining about the price, which was reasonable compared to other options at the time.
In my Instant Pot, I use this item to make vegan yogurt. It makes delicious yogurt and is incredibly easy to make.
All of the seals on the ones I've opened have been broken, and one of them was thick when I opened it, as if it had been spoiled. This brand's lack of ingredients appeals to me, but I'll have to look for something else because this one is of poor quality.
I've been using this for a few years and haven't been able to find it locally, so I've had to order it from you. It's perfect for making yogurt in my instant pot.
This product appeals to me because it is made entirely of whole organic soybeans and water. There are no unusual ingredients in this dish.
