Milano's 100% Imported Romano Cheese Jar,16 Ounce

My subscription to the subscribe and save program allows me to purchase this brand of cheese since 2014. Nevertheless, I reordered it this month as well as I always do each month. Instead of smelling of cheese as before, this time there was a chemical odor. There was no aroma of delicious Romano cheese emanating from it. Rather than smelling like acetone or alcohol, it reeked of We were unable to accept the return of the item. This is out of my hands as far as edible condition is concerned. All my future subscribe and save orders for this item will need to be cancelled. This former trusted brand has deteriorated to the point where it is no longer trustworthy. I have informed Amazon about it. This is a problem that hopefully they will investigate. We or anyone else should not become ill from eating a small amount of the food.

Then, I ordered two bottles again, and that time I was more satisfied. I nearly fell over when I smelled the different color and smell. Others have said that the bottle smelled as if a chemical had just been dropped into it. Within 15 minutes, I had to take the garbage out because my whole kitchen was smelling. I had poured about a cup into my garbage can. The refund was given to both bottles.

My usual problem is the cheese - I usually get tired of it in 19 issues I didn't know what to expect from shaker cheeses but decided to try. My first taste of it was yesterday evening and I was pleasantly surprised, it melted properly, it was delicious, and it had a pleasant aroma. In contrast with the "green shaker" type, it falls into another category. Normally, I prefer fresh grated over the shaker, but I highly recommend this. Initially, I had only ordered one, but I am going to order a few more so I can keep them.

I was looking for more bang for my buck, but this did not fit the bill. In addition to the review I saw, several other reviews that included the same complaint, so I hoped they were isolated incidents. The only alternative I have is to pay double for the same amount of an alternative brand of milk that does not contain cow's milk, so I am going to take this route going forward.

Prior to this, there was no problem. I can only get my husband to eat this kind of cheese. This is something that we have ordered before, and it's great. The bottom half of the jar of this last jar gave us a serious surprise, when, only after two uses, a source of microbial growth was discovered! The bottom half of the bottle did not move when I shook it, so I should have known something was wrong. There is no way that this can remain at room temperature for any length of time. It has always been refrigerated. A major disappointment.

I was very disappointed with how pungent the cheese was. It seemed like maybe it was just that the cheese was aged more than usual, and I just overlooked it. However, even though it was stored in the fridge, and the container was labeled "Best by 11/27/20," the jar of cheese is now full of It is now clear why pungent flavors are so strong.

It appears from the seal under the cap that there is either no seal or an extremely weak one. When it is opened, the jar states that refrigeration is not needed. For the food to stay fresh, it must be sealed tightly. Its taste can be very mild if it is in a good jar. In fact, I am going to buy a cow milk imitation that I think is better than this. I buy sheep milk Romano, so I will buy another brand. Romano is a totally different person from the one we think we know.

The best time to use it is when you watch the calendar. Since I purchased it in May, this cheese has become a favorite of mine. A best use date of Sept 28 was assigned to this item. My previous post has just been re-posted We ordered this and it was delivered on August 23 as expected with the same best use date of September. Therefore, do not be careless. It appears they are not rotating the inventory!.
